Adobe Flash Player Download Warning: Malware Disguised

This is a warning to all those that are getting flash player downloads; Adobe fake flash player downloads could leave you with serious consequences, especially leaving you with malicious payloads.
You need to know that Malware is being disguised as a Flash Player download, Adobe responding to malware versions of “flash player” downloads that are being posted on community sites like twitter for example, have posted the following caveat on their site.
There has been coverage from the security community of a nasty worm on many popular social networking sites that is using social engineering lures to get you the user to install a piece of malware, and according to reports the worm posts comments on these such sites that includes links to a fake site. If this link is clicked and followed, users will be told that they need to update their Flash Player. The installer, posted on a malicious site, of course installs malware instead of Flash Player.
WARNING: DO NOT download Flash Player from any other site unless it is adobe.com, and we mean any piece of software such as Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Reader etc. Twitter’s security people are working on a fix right now.

ISPs and government clamp down on illegal downloading

Internet service providers have been working hard and have now worked out a deal with the government, as well as the music industry so that they can clamp down on illegal downloading.
The new deal that will be announced some time today will include a deal with UK ISPs, which means that they will send out hundreds of thousands of letters to their customers who are responsible for illegal downloading.
The BPI, the body that represents record labels, and the government have struck a memorandum of understanding, this will see the introduction of a legislation to a clampdown on people who download illegally.
The new understanding will see a deal struck with the six biggest IPSs in the UK, these include BT, Virgin, Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Tiscali and BSkyB. The deal will include all the parties to work together to come up with ways to stop repeat offenders.
It is about time that ISPs took a tough stance on this, they have failed to take action for so long. It is now time for a reform, so illegally downloader’s beware.
Sony Blu-ray or Downloads for Xbox 360 and next-gen

What will the future gamers and movie watchers want for their choice of media? Some people believe that Sony’s Blu-ray format is doing fine in sales of Blu-ray games, data and movies, while other people have the view that Blu-ray is tanking in a big way. We do live in a world that is either very mixed in views or misinformed on facts.
One option other than Blu-ray could be the Super Upscale future for DVDs, we have heard Toshiba working on something like that and this would apparently make the need for Blu-ray movies not necessary. That would have to be seen, but if it would be possible to upscale a DVD to near Blu-ray quality. Why the need for dearer Blu-ray discs?
Price will always be an important factor in the sales of Blu-rays, since we saw HD-DVD pull out of the format war the Blu-ray prices have increased and this will not increase sales. With Billions of DVDs in the world it would be a good choice for the people and environment to increase the quality of these through technology.
Yes we do want better quality video and more data on discs but if this can happen through improved Upscaling and better compression technology, then I am all for it and also the rest of the world.
What would you want on your Xbox 360 or next-gen Xbox, Blu-ray or Downloads?
To sum-up, Blu-ray is here now and the next-gen format has not been decided. I personally use Blu-ray movies and games on my PS3, but I would be a mad man not to see that HQ Upscaling for DVDs and better compression technology that can produce almost the same results is the better way to go.

Following on from out story the other day, where Sir Paul McCartney signs Apple iTunes deal. It seams that our source UPI got some facts wrong about the story. Apple has denied that the Beatles iTunes deal has been made.
It seems that a unnamed source close to ex-Beatle McCartney said that the deal had already been done, and that the entire back catalogue would be available in the next few months.
So we still do not know when the Beatles catalogue will be available for download on Apple iTunes.

Apple fails at 1,000 iTunes movie rentals: will they sell 10 million iPhone’s in 2008
March 5, 2008 by Peter

It seems as if Apple fell short of its target for renting movies through iTunes Store, Apple wanted to achieve a 1,000 movie for rent by the end of February. It seems as if the Apple iTunes Store only managed to have 351 movie titles which are well short of the target.
At the moment there are still only 399 movie titles to rent on the ITunes store, and for both rent and purchase there is a total of 770 movies available. It does seem as if Apple set targets that are a little hard to achieve, just like their target of selling 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008.
