You have to wonder if the new Dodge Durango will be like an aging sports star that comes out of retirement and does not have what it takes anymore – a bit like Michael Schumacher? Dodge has gone all out with the design of the new Durango, not only have the replaced the unit-body architecture, they have improved the fuel-efficiency as well.

According to Erin Riches from Inside Line, the new Durango has a lot in common with the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class, which is a good thing. The SUV is a great all-round vehicle, just try not to take those bends too sharply, otherwise you might hear people in the rear throwing up.

The new 2011 Dodge Durango has a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, and does not offer much in the way of performance, with a 0 to 60 time of just over 9 seconds. That’s slower than the previous model, but something had to be sacrificed for improved fuel-efficiency.

Prices start from $30,000 and goes up to $45,000; Do you think that it is worth the price tag?
