Google Translation Center: Beta Language Service Explained

Looks as though Google are fired up to launch a new beta test of a document translation service, called Google Translation Center. Google hope that this new service will bring them one step closer to breaking down language barriers.

Google say that this service will help those who need to have their documents translated by humans. The translators will be paid to do the job.

There has not been much information from Google on their Translation Center, but this is because it is a beta and they are ironing out all of the bugs.

Google Translation Center is both fast and easy, just upload your document and choose your translation language. You then need to choose if you want professional or volunteer translators. If the translator accepts, then you will receive your translated document back once it is ready.

In the past Google has preferred to use computer algorithms to translate things, but we have to remember that Goggle is just the middle man here. But with the search engine giant behind it, the service looks to be off to a good start.
