The day we thought would never come is here at last as Zumba Fitness is finally dethroned after a ten week reign at the top of the UK Games Chart. 505 Games’ dance title was beginning to look quite comfortable, with the lack of new releases meaning it had been number one already longer than it should have, until Deus Ex: Human Revolution came along that is.

The action RPG from Square Enix has taken the top spot across all platforms and deservedly so. It is the first AAA title for a while and was hotly anticipated, so entering the chart straight in at number one was inevitable. According to CVG more copies were sold on the Xbox 360 than on the other platforms, with a 57% share of the total sold. Reports have also suggested that Deus Ex is expected to be nominated for several game of the year awards by December also.

Deus Ex: Revolution is the third title from the Deus Ex series and is a prequel to the original game. Players take the role of Adam Jensen, security chief for a company called Sarif Industries. After a security breach he is forced to undergo surgery making parts of him mechanical and embarks on a quest to find out who is responsible for the breach.

Other titles that made an impact on the UK Games Chart this week were Rugby World Cup 2011, which also debuted and managed to enter straight in at a respectable third. Zumba Fitness only falls to second place despite being out sold this week and another noteworthy bit of action was Call of Duty: Black Ops moving back up to fifth after being eighteenth, presumably due to price drops and the Rezurrection map pack.

Do you think Deus Ex deserves the top spot? What are your thoughts on Zumba Fitness’ incredible reign?

Our readers have mixed opinions when it comes to which console is better out of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so much so that we don’t bother asking the question any more, however when we see a title hit multiple platfroms we like to see the differences which difference consoles bring – today we will take a brief look at Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution arrived in North America today and so far we have heard lots of good things about it, however if you own an Xbox 360 and PS3 you will probably be wondering which version to go for – well if load-times frustrate you we can confirm that the 360 version is superior.

The video we have embedded at the end of this post directly compares load-times for the game when running on Xbox 360 (installed), PS3 (installed) and Xbox (from the disc), in every load screen we see the Xbox 360 with Human Revolution installed locally outperform the PS3. The game’s intro sequence takes roughly 22 second to load on the 360 and 26 seconds for the PS3, whilst running the game from the disc on the Xbox 360 added 11 seconds to the load time (33 seconds).

If your not great at the game you will spend a lot of time dying, well if you die when playing Deus Ex locally installed you will take 21 seconds to respawn, whilst respawning when running the game from the PS3′s HDD will take roughly 26 second – again running the game from the Xbox 360′s optical drive adds roughly 11 seconds to the load times. We think that a delay of a minimum of 20 seconds after each death is pretty excessive – do you?

Later on in the video we see another demonstration which shows the same pattern as the other load times, we don’t think it really matters that PS3 gamers will have to wait roughly 4 seconds longer at every load screen than Xbox 360 gamers who have installed the game locally – however we do find it interesting, we would love to see how a locally-installed version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution running of a solid-state drive performs.

Are you surprised by the difference in load times?

With Deus Ex: Human Revolution set for a North American release later this month, August 23, you might be wondering whether this game is worth buying, well recently we found out that PCGamer has already reviewed the game and it resulted in a score of 94/100.

Currently the review has not gone public, however if you buy the next issue of the PC Gamer magazine which arrives on August 3 you will be able to see it in full, apparently it was awarded an Editor’s Choice award and a statement says that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is “A game that puts almost everything else in the genre to shame”.

Over the years there have only been a handful of games which PCGamer has scored higher than 94/100, these include Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Civilization II, Company of Heroes, Black & White, Far Cry, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As you can see there is no shame in being less impressive than the aforementioned games, to put 94/100 into some context here are some other games which received the same score from PCGamer: Freedom Force, Deus Ex, Diablo II, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Baldur’s Gate, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Doom 3, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, Empire Earth II, Battlefield 2, BioShock, Sid Meier’s Civilization IV, Far Cry 2, and Portal 2.

As you can see Deus Ex: Human Revolution seems to be joining an elite list of games, however we must remember that different critics may not be quite as fond of the game as PCGamer is, the best thing to do is buy the August 3 issue of the PCGamer magazine and check out the fully detailed eight-page review for yourself. As this is the first time a game in the series has hit PS3 and Xbox 360 we expect a massive improvement when compared to 2003′s Deus Ex: Invisible War and 2000′s Deus Ex, especially in terms of visuals and multiplayer elements. Also as it has been roughly 8 years since PC hardware got its hands on Invisible War it will be interesting to see just how good Human Revolution looks with DirectX 11, we can’t wait to see!

Just yesterday we brought our readers information on both the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever game. Now we have some more PC system requirements, only this time it’s for the Dues Ex: Human Revolution game.

If you’re one of the many PC gamers that are thinking about buying a copy of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution title, then you might be pleased to know that the PC system requirements appear to be fairly reasonable. In other words, you don’t need to have a state of the art computer to be able to run it.

According to Tom Senior at pcgamer.com, the minimum PC specs include 8.5GB of disc space, a 2 GHz dual core processor, an NVIDIA GeForce 8000 series or ATI Radeon HD 2000 series or above graphics card, Windows 7, XP or Vista with DirectX 9.0c and 1GB RAM (Windows X) / 2GB (Windows Vista/7).

However, the recommended PC specs include Windows 7, 2GB RAM, 8.5GB disc space, an AMD Radeon HD 5850 graphics card and an AMD Phenom II X4 or Intel Core 2 Quad or above processor. The Dues Ex: Human Revolution game is due for release in August this year for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Were you thinking about purchasing the PC version of the Deus Ex: Human Revolution game?

The news is in and we can grant you information that a release date for the eagerly anticipated third edition to the Deus Ex series is coming. The game’s director, Jean-François Dugas tweeted: “Of course! The release date will be announced next week! What about that! ”.

The news has prolonged the suspense of many fans since the game’s idea was announced in 2007, where many fans are still waiting for any official news of its release, however the majority are happy enough to wait another week in order to find out.

We can tell you that the game will be available for Windows, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the OnLive system and will be the prequel to the first game. It is set 25 years before the original and before the development of Nanotechnological augmentations, instead biomechanical augmentations are the current state of the art.

One feature which has changed relates to regaining health, previously health packs were used, however in Deus Ex: Human Revolution your health will regenerate over time.

We will post the game’s official release date next week as soon as it is announced, let’s just hope that we will not have to wait too much longer, we have already been waiting almost four years!
