According to EuroGamer you need to be running Windows XP, Vista or 7 with at least 2GB of RAM, in terms of processing power you need something similar (or better than) the Intel Core 2 Duo (2.4 GHz) or AMD Athlon X2 (2.2 Ghz). To install the game you will need 8.5GB of free space and to run it nicely you will need the NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS / ATI Radeon HD 3850 or better – obviously anything better than this will give you better frame rates etc. One important thing worth knowing is that to play the game you will need to carry out online activation, so make sure you have an active internet connection.

Lots of game retailers and services such as GamersGate and Direct2Drive currently offer a 10% saving if you pre-order the game, also if you buy the boxed version through Capcom you will get a free T-Shirt which reads ‘I Got Probed in Uranus Zone’ (see below).

It will be interesting to see how the PC version of the game compares to the PC / Xbox 360 versions, previously GameRankings.com averaged out dozens of review score and this resulted in a 81% score for the Xbox 360 release, an 80% score for the PS3 release and a 75% score for the PC – this clearly suggests that Dead Rising is more suited to consoles – but that said there is not a great deal in it.

Two of the main concerns about the spin-off – which re-imagines the Dead Rising 2 game from Frank West’s perspective – were how different it would be, and how much it would cost. As Wesley Yin-Poole from Eurogamer reports, the developer has now addressed the concerns.

Not only did the developer announce the North American price for the game during E3 2011 last week, but they also revealed a few details. This was done via a video showcasing the new Theme Park environment, which is said to be bigger than any area found in Dead Rising 2.

The Dead Rising 2: Off the Record game also comes with a brand new story, as well as new weapons, combo weapons, bosses, food items, clothing and new vehicles. In fact, executive producer Jason Leigh says that the new game is much bigger than the Dead Rising 2 title was.

As for the price, North Americans can expect to pay $39.99 for the upcoming Dead Rising 2: Off the Record spin-off. We have no news on when it will be released as of yet, but we’ll keep you informed. You can view a trailer for the new game via the eurogamer.net link.

Being the end of November, you can expect to see Case West sometime in December, most likely before Christmas hits.

We are also told that in-game photography will be making a return as will Frank West, so grabbing those erotic photos and magazines should be a whole lotta’ fun again.

There is no price stuck to this at time of writing, so you will have to wait for that. Going by Case Zero, you could be looking at around 400 Microsoft Points.

There are four DLC packs in total, each will cost 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live, or $1.99 on PSN, a small price to pay in my opinion.

The first lot of DLC will become available on October 12th, this is called the Psychopath Pack, this will give you a bonus when using horror movie weaponry, such as axes, cleavers and chainsaws.

The second lot of DLC will launch on October 19th, this is called the Soldier of Fortune Pack, this gives you double ammo, a special bullet spray attack when using automatics and increases shooting and headshot accuracy.

The Sports pack will arrive on October 26th, basketballs etc will bounce more before stopping, also you will not get sick from drinking too much, you will earn more from gambling and you will gain more health from eating and drinking.

The most fun sounding DLC is the Ninja Pack, this will become available from November 2nd, once brought throwing items will do more damage and they will travel faster, also your stealth will be increased, which means zombies will have to be closer to you to detect you, finally you will gain bonuses when using the sword weapon.

In Dead Rising 2 finding gifts rewards you by unlocking two Achievements/Trophies, if you give Katey one gift you will get the Father of the Month Achievement, which is worth 20 gamerscore points/1 Trophy, if you give Katey every possible every possible gift you get another 20 gamerscore points/1 Trophy.

As you can see the reward isn’t that great, however it is pretty easy to gain both as we have embedded a video at the end of this post showing you a complete gift location guide.

If you check out the Dead Rising 2 Wikia you can see a list of weapon combos, this list is a work-in-progress and currently incomplete, that said there are 50 for you to check out.

Before reading this list you should be aware that it is best to create combo once you have found the combo card, if you create a combo without the combo card you will receive a scratch card, but the weapon cannot perform its heavy attack, not only this but the weapon gains less prestige points from killing zombies.

Some of my favorites include combining a shotgun with a pitchfork to create the ‘Boomstick’, combining a bow and arrow with dynamite to create the ‘Blambow’ and combining an electric chair with an LMG or Merc assault rifle to create the ‘Blitzkrieg’.

The missing file is msvcr100.dll, to fix this problem you must download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, the download is just 4.8MB in size and can be found here.

According to a recent VideoGamesBlogger article Capcom want Blue Castle Games to develop the next game, this is because they believe that they worked well together for Dead Rising 2 and overall it was a very positive experience.

A recent thread on GameSpot’s forums asks readers what environment they want the next game to take place in, the most popular idea seems to be an amusement park, however readers suggest that it needs to be pretty large.

Other popular suggestions include an airport, or perhaps a city/suburb. My favorite idea is to have it take place on a luxury cruise ship, this should allow you to battle it out in a range of environments, such as restaurants, the casino, bars and even on the ship’s deck, perhaps you could throw zombies into the ocean.

The luxury cruise ship idea has one major snag, how did so many zombies get onto the ship? I’m sure developers can come up with a far-fetched idea to explain this.

GameSpot’s readers also talk about the game’s main playable character, some readers want a more likable main character, someone else suggests that the main character should be female.
