If you’re a smart consumer then shopping around online for exclusive Cyber Monday deals with be your aim today, and that is the same whether you’re in the UK, US, and many other countries. In this article we wanted to point PR readers in the direction of Currys UK and their Cyber Monday price crash, which even puts Comet store closing down sales to shame when you look at how big the discounts are for a range of electronics.

Cyber Monday in the UK at Currys – we’re pretty impressed considering the usual online prices you see at stores like Currys, and it seems they also understand how to hype up their offering by adding a countdown timer for each Cyber Monday deal. These range from large and small HDTVs, accessories for your favorite electronics, Blu-ray players, video games for PC, Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. It seems to be the best Cyber Monday offering in the UK at the time of writing, although we’ll be sure to let you know about more as the day goes on.

TVs featured from the likes of Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, and LG – the first thing you notice when you land on the special page, found here, is televisions from some of the biggest brands each with a countdown timer, which will end at 6PM UK time. Currys state that the “100 hours ends 6PM” on Cyber Monday, although it is worth noting that pretty much all of the Cyber Monday deals are for home delivery only.

The TV that caught our eye in Currys Cyber Monday sales had been the one with the biggest discount, which had been the Samsung UE60EH6000 Full HD 60-inch LED TV that includes a price cut of almost 40%. This is impressive but be warned you only have another 10 hours before the sale ends, and we’re not sure if stock will last until that time.

Have you been looking for Cyber Monday deals in the UK today, and if so what do you think about Currys price crash? It’s great to see this annual tradition not just in the US, but also the UK and many other countries although we’d love to know if you like to take part in the annual event.

Retailers to see big sales on Mega Monday, what have you ordered? http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/11/28/retailers-to-see-big-sales-on-mega-monday-what-have-you-ordered/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2011/11/28/retailers-to-see-big-sales-on-mega-monday-what-have-you-ordered/#comments Mon, 28 Nov 2011 14:40:06 +0000 Gary Johnson http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=145762 Many consumers are now deciding what to buy for their friends and family as gifts for Christmas in what is normally the busiest time of year. There have been some retailers that have been struggling of late as Best Buy in the UK begins its closing down sale. But retailers are expecting to see huge sales today on Mega Monday, so what have you ordered?

In the US last week saw Black Friday which is followed by what is called Cyber Monday as consumers take to the internet to do their shopping. In the UK it is being called Mega Monday and according to The Telegraph it is being reported that record amounts of consumers will be going online to bag a bargain ahead of Christmas.

It has been revealed that retail sales have dropped at their fastest rate since March 2009 with the mild winter so far in the UK affecting demand for items such as winter clothes. But retailers both side of the pond are hoping for a sale surge to help weak demand so far. Consumers in the US are reported to be ready to spend big this year.

Over in the UK the Interactive Media in Retail Group, which is a trade body for online retailers thinks consumers will spend £3.72 billion in the next two weeks. This would be a fourteen percent increase compared to last year.

According to Argos the equivalent day last year saw 1.7 million visits to its online store with 20,000 orders made in one day. The company thinks the most popular items are expected to be iPads and iPods as well as copies of MW3.

There have been warnings though that some online retailers may struggle to compete with rivals with regards to pricing. Some will have to change prices twice today alone and up to ten times in the lead up to Christmas.

Have you ordered anything yet today?

Cyber Monday’s Thunder: Best Buy and Walmart Deals Early http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/29/cyber-mondays-thunder-best-buy-and-walmart-deals-early/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/29/cyber-mondays-thunder-best-buy-and-walmart-deals-early/#comments Mon, 29 Nov 2010 16:11:49 +0000 Jamie Pert http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=115659 As you are probably aware a lot of the big retailers in the US allowed customers to get their hands on their Cyber Monday deals a day early this year, obviously this is great news for people who do not have access to the Internet when they are at work today, however it has stole a little bit of Cyber Monday’s thunder.

Cyber Sunday has arisen as the way in which online retailers market their goods has changed, before people would check their emails when they got to work on Monday morning to see all of the offers, however now retailers are keen to promote their deals earlier on, which obviously builds the hype and changes the shopping patterns which we were used to.

I think that this is also the result of people being able to access the Internet from pretty much anywhere, with smartphones, netbooks and tablets offering great mobile Intenet connectivity people do not need to wait until Monday to use their workplace’s Internet connections.

Despite the introduction of Cyber Sunday it seems as if Walmart and Best Buy still consider Cyber Monday as a huge day on the calendar, BestBuy.com’s senior vice president and general manager says that Cyber Monday is still a “really viable marketing concept”.

We would love to hear what you think of Cyber Sunday stealing some of Cyber Monday’s thunder. Do you think that it is a good thing? Does it result in better offers for the consumer? Or should they scrap Cyber Sunday and concentrate on Cyber Monday in 2011?

Cyber Monday Sales: Deals Never Been So Good http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/29/cyber-monday-sales-deals-never-been-so-good/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/29/cyber-monday-sales-deals-never-been-so-good/#comments Mon, 29 Nov 2010 10:02:55 +0000 Peter Chubb http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=115579 For some Cyber Monday sales started yesterday, while for others like Dell the deals start today. Looking around there seems to be more offers than ever, and they are more than just free shipping. For years Black Friday has been the big sales event, but looks like this could change within the next few year.

Both Best Buy and Walmart started their sales yesterday, but I have to say was a little bit disappointed with the latter. However, when it comes to deals, then I think Dell has it covered. The reason I say this is because they have some amazing offers on laptops, desktops, printers and even software.

The number one website for showing you the best Cyber Monday deals has to be cybermonday.com, and they have picked 10 of what they believe to be the hottest deals, and top of that list is a HP DV6T laptop. However, as it is now getting near Christmas some of the best offers will be on toys and clothing.

2010 is the best year yet for online deals, so take advantage now and visit all the big brand websites. Visit them now to avoid disappointment.

Cyber Monday iPad Sales: Warning Over Deals http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/29/cyber-monday-ipad-sales-warning-over-deals/ http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/11/29/cyber-monday-ipad-sales-warning-over-deals/#comments Mon, 29 Nov 2010 00:48:15 +0000 Tina Chubb http://www.product-reviews.net/?p=115514 While thousands of people are taking to the Internet searching for those all important Cyber Monday deals, the cyber criminals are keeping themselves busy too, attempting to lure shoppers in with offers that appear too good to be true.

According to Suzanne Choney at msnbc.msn.com, Alison Southwick from the Better Business Bureau has been speaking out about the holiday shopping season, and said that every year they hear from consumers who have paid for a supposed deal online, but got nothing in return.

Security software company McAfee has just released its “12 scams of Christmas” list, and it appears that offers of a free Apple iPad is right at the top. Scammers have cottoned on to the fact that the Apple device is one of the most wanted gifts this year, and are distributing bogus offers of a free iPad.

In at number 2 on the list is the “Help! I’ve Been Robbed” scam. This scam sends a bogus distress message to people’s family and friends, requesting that they wire or transfer money in order for them to get home. Another scam mentioned is fake gift cards.

This scam is found on social media site such as MySpace, Twitter and Facebook. People use sites such as these to promote fake gift cards, with the aim of stealing consumers’ money and information. Another popular scam is the charity one, asking you to donate funds to different charities via spam emails.

You can read more about this via msnbc.msn.com. What are you doing to prepare yourself against scams this Christmas?
