We have some interesting news now for those of you that are thinking about upgrading your current webcam, as Creative Technology has recently revealed its new Live Cam inPerson HD web camera, which comes with a built-in H.264 video encoding processor and improved audio quality.

As noted at electronista.com, the integrated H.264 video encoding processor will ensure the fastest possible framerate, while using the least amount of computer resources. This enables users with older PCs or notebooks with insufficient built-in video processing to enjoy improved image quality and consistency.

The Creative Live! Cam inPerson HD web camera – which has been Skype certified for voice, video and HD calling – also delivers improved audio quality, thanks to the four microphones that are embedded in the housing. It also features noise-cancellation technology, auto focus and the ability to take photos up to 12MP.

It also comes with bundled software (for Windows only), which aids in avatar creation, sharing features, surveillance options and video and audio effects. The new webcam works with Intel dual-core or better, Mac (OS X 10.5 or above), Linux (kernel 2.6 or later) and Windows (XP SP2 or above) with a USB 2.0 port.

Are you looking to buy a new webcam?

As one of the world leaders in digital entertainment Creative certainly are well established and capable of producing quality products. Having already brought you news of their iPod Nano competitor the ZEN MP3 player we now have news of the new additions to their Pure Wireless Bluetooth speaker line.

We have a bit of good news now for those of you that own the Creative ZiiO 7-inch Android tablet, which was first announced back in December last year, as we’ve just learned that the tablet PC is due to receive a 2.2 Froyo update later this week.

According to a recent article by Richard Lai over at engadget.com, the 10-inch Creative ZiiO will also be receiving the Android 2.2 Froyo update, but that will be at a later date. Users will be able to download the update for free from the support.creative.com website or the ZiiO Space portal on their tablet PC.

The upcoming Android 2.2 Froyo update will not only provide Creative ZiiO tablet owners with a new Text-to-Speech engine and greater localised language support, but it will also improve the security thanks to the added numeric pin or alpha-numeric passcode options to unlock the device.

It also provides owners with the flexibility of either installing applications using the device’s on-board memory or onto external storage media, as well as the ability to view pages in both mobile and desktop formats. This basically means that pages will now be able to seen in their original lay-out.

Do you own the Creative ZiiO 7-inch or 10-inch tablet PC?

This last year has seen massive growth for mobile applications on a wide-range of platforms, therefore it is no surprise have recently released an SDK for their Creative Zen X-Fi 2.

Strictly this is not an SDK it is an ADK “Application Development Kit”, this is completely free for developers and comes complete with a simulator, coding guide, and API reference.

This should allow Creative’s Zen X-FI 2 to directly compete with Apple’s iPod Touch, currently Apple’s App Store offers thousands of applications which enhance the portable media player’s functionality.

Experts believe that Creative will also offer ADK’s for their future PMP’s such as the Zii Egg, as we hear of further developments we will keep you posted.

It is a fact that World of Warcraft is the biggest game ever, therefore it is no surprise that peripheral manufacturers are keen to brand their products with the ‘World of Warfcraft’ name.

The latest product to do this is Creative’s latest USB wireless headset, this headset is called the Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset, this headset features “interchangeable panels that show your love for either the Alliance or Horde”.

If you charge your headset for 4 hours you will get 9 hours of continuous use from them, as you would expect this headset boasts extremely impressive audio quality (via TruStudio PC sound technologies), along with VoiceFX to change your voice.

We are currently unsure of a release date and price, however as we find out more we will keep you posted, to find out more about this new headset check out SlipperyBrick.
