Just over a week ago Microsoft Games launched Crackdown 2 for Xbox 360, therefore we thought we would help some readers find all of the game’s orbs, including hidden, renegade and agility orbs.

Some of the game’s Achievements require you to collect orbs, therefore they are very important, you could use orb-ping to find them all, however this could take some time.

Luckily AchievementHunter put together an interactive map, this map is still under development, however should be extremely useful for you.

If you collect all of the Agility, Hidden, Renegade and Online Orbs in Pacific City you will gain the Solid Block of Orbsome Acheievemnt which gives you 50 gamerscore points.

All in all there are 10 Achievements which require you to collect Orbs, in total these Achievements are worth 200 Gamerscore points, therefore well worth collecting.

There were reports that Microsoft had to issue a recall for Crackdown 2 after gamers reported that instead of the new game in the case, the original one was there in its place. However, in a strange twist to the story, Microsoft has now reversed the recall following a statement from Ruffian.

It seems that gamers were confused and thought that the original Crackdown was in the case, when in fact it was the new version of the game. The reason for the confusion is because both games look very similar – so do not fear you do have the Crackdown 2 in the case after-all.

We have to wonder why Microsoft did not know this and decided to issue a recall, Surly they would have known in advance what the disc of the game looked like? Retailers were also confused, and feared that customers would be retuning the new game in the masses – just imagine how relieved they are?

Are you confused? Well this was all just a joke by Sarcastic Gamer, as it is no secret that fans of the game are upset that not much has changed with the new version of the game. We hope we did not worry you too much, we just thought this article was funny?

We have a treat for those of you who are planning to pick up Crackdown 2 this weekend in the UK, as a new video has emerged courtesy of Eurogamer showing the first 15 minutes of the game for you to enjoy.

This video is ideal for those of you still sitting on the fence on whether to get the game or not, but then again – it isn’t really a hard choice since the game is looking great.

The game is due out this Friday and is a direct sequel to the original hit title in 2007. The video starts off with a cutscene and then proceeds to give you a tutorial on how to use the controls and navigate effectively around the map.

We’re well aware that the game is already out over in the U.S, so this is purely for our readers in the UK who are thinking of getting the game this Friday. Will you?

Are you toying with the idea of buying Crackdown 2 for the Xbox 360? Well, if so this review roundup should help you decide, as it pulls together the opinions from a lot of different reputable gaming websites.

When the original Crackdown video game was released on the Xbox 360 back in 2007 it received some very respectable reviews, therefore there are pretty high hopes for its successor.

Out of all of the reviews it seems as if GamesRadar sum things up, they score the game 7 out of 10 and say that Crackdown 2 is better than its predecessor, however is not as good as Just Cause 2, they also say “What was good is still good, but rarely better”, you can see their full review here.

CVG scored the game 8.3 out of 10, they say that the game is a slight disappointment, however still very welcoming, that said there seems to be a bit of a bug with the targeting system, which once patched will make large battles less frustrating. You can see their detailed review here.

Destructoid seemed very unhappy with the game, they scored it just 4.5 out of 10 and say that the game is very repetitive, in fact they even go on to say you may as well play the demo over and over again, you can see their full review here.

For more reviews click on the following links, ElectricPig (7.5 out of 10), bit-tech (6 out of 10) and ReviewWithExtremePrejudice.

Have these reviews helped you make your mind up? If so what have you decided to do buy it, or leave it?

Crackdown 2 for the Xbox 360 will be launched this Friday, July 9, 2010 and we now have some information on the first two DLC packs. The names will be Toy Box and Deluge and those who receive both packs will receive four Avatar items for free.

David Scammell from GamerZines has been looking into the DLC and believes that they will contain missions in order to unlock each of the Avatar Awards. He explains that this can be done by completing Fly Swat and ’15 Minutes of Maim in Toy Box and Deluge respectively.

For those Xbox 360 gamers who manages to complete Fly Swat will be rewarded with the Green Agent Suit for your avatar, and you can earn the PVP Agent Suit for completing 15 Minutes of Maim.

As yet there are no details on price or the release date for Crackdown 2 DLC, but we are confident that it will not be that far behind the release of the main game on Friday.

The full version of Crackdown 2 will be available to buy in July, but you will want to know how well the game performs before you commit your hard earned cash. The Crackdown 2 Demo is now available for you to download to your Xbox 360 on Xbox Live.

A few gamers were able to download the demo earlier than intended, but now all Gold subscribers have access to the game. This latest demo is a timed one, you as an agent have just 30 minutes to explore Pacific City – be careful and be prepared to release havoc on those who stand in your way.

According to Scott Grill from examiner, those who were fans of the first crackdown will find this latest version easy to control; there have been a number of improvements to game play and graphics. You as the player will now have much more to do with the full version of the game- we just hope that this demo keeps you occupied for at least one-month.

When you play the Crackdown 2 Demo you could earn yourself 100 GamerScore points – these would come in handy for the full version of the game. Visit Xbox Live now to download the demo.

We have some great news for those of you planning to pick up Crackdown 2 on the Xbox 360 this Summer, as we have a brand new gameplay video to show you, and its pretty good.

As reported from VG247, the game is being handled by Scottish studio Ruffian Games, which is formed of key members from Realtime Worlds – the company behind the first title.

As for the video, the gameplay is looking fantastic – definitely a must buy for fans of the first title. Plenty of action to see here, as well as a fair few cutscenes from the game.

Watch it below then give us your thoughts on it. Will you be buying the game? It is due out on July 5th in the US, July 9th in the UK.

The first Crackdown game for the Xbox 360 was a fun open-world where you could experience huge explosions while playing your game. Crackdown 2 cannot afford to do the same thing twice so will need to offer a number of improvements over the original game – Joystiq aims to see if this has been achieved with a review of the game.

The single-player mode will start with a recap of the events from the previous game; this feature should keep critics happy – as they were unhappy with how the first game did not offer a narrative aspect. Crackdown 2 also offers more of a story this time, so should even keep the user happy.

Ruffian Games is the new developer for the game and hopes that they have been able to stay as faithful to the game as possible – straying away too much would be a huge mistake.

Read a full review of Crackdown 2 on the Joystiq website, where they do fear that the new game is much of the same as its predecessor – apart from some key improvements.

We have some good news for fans of the Crackdown series on the Xbox 360, as Microsoft has just penciled in an expected release date for the game, which will be available in the Summer.

As reported from Eurogamer, the game will be available on July 9th in the UK – so I’m presuming July 6th in the US.

The news was actually revealed on Twitter, so it just goes to show the power of that website these days – with the majority of companies now using Twitter as the quickest form of spreading the word.

As for Crackdown 2, the game will pick up where Crackdown 1 finished, but will add the inclusion of four-player co-op and ‘super-powered’ enemies.

Expect to hear more at E3, let us know if you’ll be picking this one up.
