Costume Samsung 2.5in Hard Drive for women by Joongoo Lee

Samsung Concept Hard Drive
This is a new Samsung 2.5in hard drive that’s designed with women in mind. Before you start asking where to buy this Samsung beauty, you should know that it’s only a concept design by Joongoo Lee.

The Costume Samsung hard drive aims to be slick and a perfect fit for handbags. Its design came from the look of ladies make-up compacts.

It would fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and in Lee’s own words:

Designing electronic gadgets specifically for women has always seemed like either an insult to their sensibilities or simple pink pandering. Either way, you run the risk of a ton of pink back stock or pissing them off. My advice, design gadgets for humans.

Could this be the F01 BMW 7 Series?

April 17, 2008 by Peter

We have known for some time now that BMW have been working hard to bring us a new 7 Series however, they have kept a lot of the information and pictures close to their chest. Well hopefully we have some news for you that I think you will like; this photo could in fact be the new F01 BMW 7 Series.

When you look closely at the design of this vehicle in the photo you will notice that it looks a lot like some of the spy shots of a concept car that was snapped. The design of this hopefully new 7 Series BMW looks a little like the BMW CS Concept, you will notice that the kidney-shaped grille is oversized compared to previous models which seems to dominate the front end of the new car. The front lights seems to ad a little flare to the front of the car, as they start near the grille and then wrap around to the side of the car.

The side of the new BMW has a nice thick line that starts halfway on the front wing and then draws you to the rear of the car, which has had some work on it. The rear end of the vehicle has lost a little weight, so does not bulge out as much as the old BMW 7 Series. I have also noticed that the glass area on the car is much less than the previous model, the glass seems to start a lot higher up than before.

Although it looks as though BMW have gone for a more conservative design, we will just wait until we see the final design of the new BMW 7 Series hit our streets.

Easy Tiles concept phone: S60 based handset

When people say that they have come out with a concept phone, you just take it with a pinch of salt, however designer Tzu-Fu Wang has left me intrigued as he has designed the strange Easy Tiles concept phone which has been based on the S60 handset.

The idea behind his thinking is that you can customize the tiles on the phone with a choice of different prints. You are able to update the pictured tile as often as you like, great if you get bored then.

I have to say though that the Easy Tiles concept phone looks a little on the cheap side.

2009 Honda Pilot: check out these spy shots

I’m not convinced about the new 2009 Honda Pilot, just check out these spy shots and you will see what I mean. That front grille looks so ugly, according to AutoBlog they think that it has been inspired by a bulldog.

This 2009 Honda Pilot spy shot looks much like the prototype that was shown in Detroit. If that grille does not put you off, then the 2009 Honda Pilot will be available later this year. The SUV will come with a V6 engine and will be able to take up to 8 passengers.

The interior looks much better than the exterior; the center stack is huge giving it a very butch look.

Take a look at this cool motorcycle concept which is definitely the real Transformer, and we say this because it does actually transform.

The XO Move Motorcycle is unique especially when it is parked because it can transform into the locked position for security. It will adjust for the riders needs; it can carry one or two persons and has a variable wheel base to make it more stable on the roads. The designers of the XO Move Motorcycle are Josson Thomas, Camile Baron, Damien Grossemy & Kevin Lecoutre.

The short video below shows a Sony PS3 homebrew hack which says Hello World, how did he do it?

No one has heard in a while from the PS3 homebrew scene, well Dragula96 who is a very popular Sony PSP hacker found a new exploit on the PS3 that allowed him to get a Hello World proof of concept up and running.

As usual he will not tell us how he did it and by watching the video he has covered the screen in black tape to hide the IP address. What he has said is that the hack is working on a 60GB and 40GB PS3s which is running the current 2.20 firmware.

He said he will share the method and source code in time; he is trying to get a game of pong working which will be coming soon.

How do you think he did this hack?

Solar Powered Boat Concept

Pedal boats have been around for years and they are great fun but also hard work.

But this latest concept boat is a pedal powered boat with a built in solar panel.

The idea is that if you get bored of pedalling away you can simply flick a switch and let the electric motor take over while you and three friend’s just chill out.

What do you think of this concept idea?

Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car Concept: Would this really work though?

Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car Concept
When it comes to concepts I am all for technology but always come up with the same question “why are concepts just that “concepts” and never reality. Anyway the latest concept car is the Silbervogel Gravity Racing Car Concept which runs on gravity.

The Silbervogel Gravity Car has no engine which is great because that means a green way of life, so a good start we say. The person racing this automobile will solely rely on gravity to pick up speed which come on will gain and lose speed, would it not?

This whole concept idea is from Jakob Hirzel from the Pforzheim University Of Applied Sciences in Germany.

USBee Flash Memory Drive is unique, USB thumb drive with a difference

Many off you may think that the USBee Flash Memory Drive design is a little to weird but we say get some glasses because we love it, it is not only different but the whole design is unique with some clever things going on.

The name for starters is a little wacky but makes sense considering the way it looks, ok this is only a concept but should be pretty easy to make it reality. The eye catching USBee is clever because unlike normal USB thumb drives they can sometime break when putting in or out of computers but this one will not because it is flexible.

The USBee has a clever combination of aluminium and silicon shell and this is where it becomes flexible, it also has a clever ventilation system to prevent it from heating up.

Sony PSP 2 concept: could this be the next PlayStation Portable
Kotaku decided to run a contest foe people to deign what they hoped would be the next PlayStation Portable. This image shows the winner, however this Sony PSP 2 concept no matter how nice it looks it will never make it to the Sony design team.

You can see that this PSP 2 concept had a nice size screen, so watching movies on it would have been awesome. Go and visit Kotaku where they have a page dedicated to a number of concepts PlayStation Portable 2.

What would you want from the next PSP?

Apple iPhone to get 3D Virtual Reality head-mount from Box Fab

box-fab-iphone-virutal-reality-head-mount
Oh yes now if this happens on the Apple iPhone I will be in heaven, iFund are putting up a cool $100,000,000 for the future development of the Apple iPhone, yes new ideas are always on the agenda when it comes to this device and it seems Box Fab have stepped up to the mark and stamped a few ideas of their own.

One of the ideas they came up with is the 3D Virtual Reality head-mount for the Apple iPhone, ok so now you are asking “What the hell is it?

boxfab_02

Ok let me explain a little, Box Fab want to bring forward the virtual 3 dimensional world onto the iPhone for all you users worldwide and envisions have the brilliant device as an image plate which will then clip onto the head-mount in which the user can go and play their day in virtual reality. What is really cool is they expect it to only cost around $200 (Roll on Baby).

Box Fab has said that the virtual reality head-mount where the iPhone can clip instantly becomes a networked, head-tracked, virtual world’s viewer.”

The new head mount will use the iPhones accelerometers to translate head movements into VR movement while simultaneously being networked with other in the VR world.

boxfab_03

Other ideas that Box Fab have come up with are that of an iPhone video conferencing camera which is just awesome, they also mentioned an iPhone LED Flashlight.
