Apple are always the first to patent something and they are on the ball with this one, their new plan is to develop a fully fledged digital fitness companion system based around their Apple iPhone and iPod Touch which is basically aimed at helping people live a healthier lifestyle.
The pictures we have here of the patent filing are just a couple from the many that AppleInsider have which you can see if you click the source link below. The patent filings are showing many ideas for the system and what it will be capable of including rewards tracker, component for group activities, iTunes-like software application, hardware-based heart rate and other sensors.
It is in simple terms a much more advanced version of the Nike + iPod system, this new system from Apple will actually “interview” the user within the application to find out exactly what their fitness goals are like fitness interests (such as jogging, yoga and swimming), desired activity level, desired workout schedule, weight goals etc.

The lifestyle companion system will also interview the user about non-health related topics like identity, spirituality, financial condition, relationships, career, religion, interests, hobbies, environment and many other things.
Once the interview is over and the process is completed the lifestyle companion systems software will create a workout regiment based around their feedback on goals and fitness interests, this will be fantastic because it will be different for each individual.
