Commodore shows off pocket PCs and netbook at the IFA

The IFA show in Berlin saw Commodore showing off a handful of prototype devices, and trying and actually succeeding in impressing the guys at IFA. The Commodore Company had lots of interesting and intriguing concepts, as well as the soon to be released netbook.

The two other devices were a Pocket PC’s, one of the pocket PC’s had a folding design and was extremely stylish, we have posted an image above of this one, and the other design wasn’t as stylish and had a sliding out QWERTY keypad.

We don’t have any information on the specs of these Pocket PC’s but there is talk that we should be able to pick them up from about 100 and 150 Euros, or roughly $220 to $290 if you want to know in US dollars. We also have no release dates, but these Pocket PC’s are something I am going to have a very keen eye on.

Commodore enters Asus Eee PC territory with tiny laptop

We all know how well Asus are doing with their range of UMPC’s, well it seems that a number of computer companies want to get in on the action. I would never have thought that Commodore would be one of those brands.

Commodore have now hit the tiny laptop market, not much is known about this tiny laptop. It will have to be something special to kick Asus of their thrown though as the Ultra Mobile PC kings.

Every time I hear the word Commodore, it reminds be of my youth. I spent many of hours late at night on my Commodore 64, and that was just to load one game.
