Having previously brought you news of a working iPad 2 jailbreak being hinted for release by Dev Team it seems as though there are a few other groups out there working hard at developing the first jailbreak for the popular Apple device. It was even suggested that GeoHot might be the first.

As it stands we are still waiting as the Comex image has since been proved as fake, which means the estimated time of arrival for a jailbreak is unknown. This for a lot of people is very disappointing news as they will have been waiting since the release of the iPad 2 for it.

MuscleNerd, headman from Dev Team responded to a post asking for a more specific time for when the jailbreak would arrive with a tweet which stated Comex’s tweet from yesterday, which said the jailbreak was ‘almost ready’, was as close to a time as they would get, confirming that it was fake.
