ColorWare are dedicated to customizing products for fashion to deliver something unique, and ColorWare announced today the Grip 3 for Apple’s new iPad. The new ColorWare Grip handle is slim, ergonomic and comfortable as you travel between meetings, flights, clients or patients.

“Our goal was to devise a system for the iPadTM so the iPadTM could function on as many levels as it was designed for,” stated Justin Cisewski CEO ColorWare. “The third generation ColorWare Grip is a culmination of the ColorWareGrip 1 and 2. It fits securely on both the iPad 2 and the new iPad (3rd generation). The ColorWare Grip works in conjunction with the ColorWare Wedge, a tablet stand with mul- tiple viewing angles that also functions as part of the iPad system.”

Machined from billet aluminum, the ColorWare Grip is remarkably durable and serves as a case for the iPad. The new ColorWare Grip also has a removable fiberglass back panel that can be taken off to exhibit an already customized ColorWare iPad. The ColorWare Grip, plus customization is $300, and of course the new iPad 3 is not included.

Back then we were promised a white and black version, but for months there was only the darker option. Thankfully Apple has launched the iPhone 4S with the two color choices, but let’s face it there’re still limited. It does seem a shame that we have to rely on a third-party to give us different color options.

Now we cannot expect Apple to give us every color available, but they could at least offer the basics, such as red, blue, purple etc. Let’s face it; this is never going to happen, so if you want your iPhone 4S to be more individual than your friends, then you will have to pay for that privilege.

If you would like a go at designing your ideal iPhone 4S, then OSM tells us that you will have to pay a premium for the honor. You can purchase your customized 4S for $1,500 for the 16GB version or $1,700 for the 64GB model. Okay, so we know that this is a huge price to pay, but if you can spare that, then we say that it’s money well spent.

Over the years ColorWare has made a name for their-self due to their high-quality device customizations, now they allow you to design your own iPad 2 just how you want it.

Currently ColorWare let you start with either the black or white models, you can then choose the WiFi or 3G version, however only AT&T not Verizon, if you don’t mind this you can then get inventive with your unique design. WiFi only prices start at $900 and 3G models start at $1030. Alternatively you can send in your own iPad 2 for a makeover for $400.

You can design your own iPad 2 online, for the iPad 2 body you can choose from roughly 50 colors from three different color types (solid, metallic and pearl), you can then choose a SofTouch finish if you please. After this you can choose from the same colors and finishes for the Apple logo and and home button, if you wish you can completely remove the Apple logo from the rear.

Do you think the prices are too expensive?

We already know that you can pimp your Apple iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and your iPad, but did you know that you could also do the same for the PS3 Slim and the new Xbox 360 S? We now wait for Colorware to work their magic on the PlayStation Move and the Microsoft Kinect.

You will need to have a few spare dollars to make your MacBook Air look more unique, as you will have to part with $1,850 for your custom color finish. However, I would say that is money well spent; it is nice having the standard finish – but how can anyone say that ColorWare does not offer a cool solution?

We cannot see the average MacBook Air user going for this deal, as there is certainly a hefty premium to pay, but it has to be worth it right? For more details visit the Colorware website. If you had a choice of any device, what would you like to customize the most?

Its no secret that when it comes to the color choice, all Apple give you is one. With Colorware you can choose from a huge range of different colors or if you do not like any, then why not suggest your own?

That’s the good news out of the way, now for the bad. If you send your own new 2010 iPod Touch in, then the cost for the color change is $150. For those who do not have the device yet, then just $380 will secure you the portable media player and the custom color finish.

We know that there are a number of after market cases available for the iPod Touch 4G, but they will never look as good as what Colorware can make them. What would be your perfect color choice?

It would certainly be nice to know when the device will be released along with details on hardware – but some news is better than none right? SlashGear has learned from Notion Ink Adam’s blog site about the design process and what other design choices they had to choose from before coming up with the final product.

Notion Adam Ink’s Rohan Shravan, has gone into detail about the upcoming tablet device, such as the decision that had to be made when working out what features should be added to the device; their reason why they chose the 185-degree swivel camera is a fine example of this.

Hopefully our frustration will end on October 9th when Shravan will offer some live images of the device direct from the factory. We still expect to see the tablet launched in just one color from the start, but hopefully after the company has results from an upcoming poll on user color choices, we should then find out what other color choices we will have.

Like all devices for the Mac it is only available in aluminum that is until now. Thanks to ColorWare, they have done what they do best and offered us a range of customs colors for this wireless device.
