Hacking has become a regular occurrence in the news of late and today we have yet more news the hacking group known as LulzSec. As you will be aware Sony has been the biggest victims of hacks lately with news of their PlayStation Network being hacked about 2 months ago.

The company then found that their Sony Pictures had been hacked by none other than the LulzSec group. If the latest hack claim is true there it seems there is no stopping this group who are becoming fairly notorious.

Their latest claim is that they are responsible for the recent alleged CIA hack. According to the report at Key103 the incident took place the same day that the group opened a telephone line for its fans so they could suggest potential hack targets.

The website became inaccessible on Wednesday but then was back up on the Thursday. LulzSec also wrote on their Twitter account ‘Tango down – CIA.gov – for the lulz’ adding more to their claim. A CIA spokeswoman said they were looking into the reports.

There is no proof that the website was even actually hacked at the moment or whether the claims themselves brought so much traffic to the site that it crashed. Check out the full article for more details by clicking the link above.

Do you think LulzSec are responsible for the CIA website outage? If so what does this mean for the security of other sites?

Continuing the story about the WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, where rumors circled on Twitter about a CIA paper being released surfaced, we can now reveal that Assange is facing a molestation charge and has been questioned by Swedish police.

Although not much information has been released, Leif Silbersky told a Swedish paper that his client had been questioned by police, but told them that he had not committed a crime.

Another case that involves Assange is also on the table after the prosecution authorities issued a warrant for his arrest with the suspicious of rape, who then later withdrew the warrant.

Any further information regarding the molestation charge will not be revealed as the prosecutor and the police are remaining tight-lipped about the allegation.

If Assange is found guilty of the molestation crime, it could end up being quite technical as the law covers many different aspects.

He could be fined, or face up to one year in prison although a fine is more common place according to cheif prosecutor Eva Finné.

More information on this story can be found at PC World.
