As far as set-top boxes go, they aren’t usually designed with style in mind. Wistron’s new WiGO line however seems to have taken aesthetics into consideration and have come up with these clear ice-cube looking devices named WiGO 1 and WiGO 2.

Wistron Corporation is an ODM that specializes in service for ICT products, manufacture and design. As Slashgear reports, the two WiGOs have been spotted at the iF Product Design awards at CeBIT which is going on in Hanover at the moment. These unique multimedia centers come with HDMI connections that allow internet, networked and local content to be browsed.

The WiGO 1, which Engadget describes as a ‘prehistoric block of ice’ with a dinosaur egg inside, appears to have no accessible connections but they are just underneath it facing downwards. The WiGO 2 has a more traditional look with an added acrylic cube design to make it more modern looking.

You can take a closer look at both these devices at the iF Design website. What do you think of these devices? Let us know your thoughts below

The Japanese IT and computer hardware company are preparing for the CeBIT 2011 event in Hanover this week and will be unveiling their new 22” wireless PC display. They are claiming it is the first ‘truly wireless display’ this means it doesn’t even have a power cable and will showcase the device as well as the other products they plan on bringing to the event.

It works by using both an inductive power system that uses Smart Universal Power Access (SUPA) and cable free wireless data. Developed with The Fraunhofer Institute, SUPA hotspots that are built into office panels, countertops and desks use magneto-induction transmitter antennas. These allow for ’park and play’ with the displays, similar to how an electric toothbrush would work.

Fujitsu will also be showing off their STYLISTIC Q550 Business Class Slate PC and the new ISV Cloud Program at the CeBIT event. The keyboard free slate PC has a 10.1” display and is designed to meet even the most strict business and government IT security requirements.

You can find out more about these devices by visiting the Fujitsu website or you can check out the article about their CeBIT launces over at ITP.net. What do you think of the wireless display and Fujitsu’s other new products? Let us know down below.

2011 seems to be the year of the tablet. This certainly seemed like the case at CES this year. Now with the build up to CeBIT 2011 we are starting to see even more tablets emerging, with MiTAC are preparing to debut four of their tablets.

The news comes from Android Community who says these four Android tablets from MiTAC will be launched next month. The Zeus, the Ulmo, the Valar 10 and the Valar 7 all run on some level of Android with the two Valar tablets running version 2.3.

The number in their names corresponds to the size of each tablets display, 10” and 7”. They will both feature GPS, HD 1080p support and video, with HDMI output capability.

The Ulmo is a rugged phone built for practicality. It is also waterproof and comes with a 7” display. The Zeus is said to be the first dual GPS receiver tablet, comes with a 6” display and is very thin measuring just 11.6mm.

We are hoping to gain more details of all four of these tablets when they are unveiled at CeBIT 2011 which is said to be held in Hanover, Germany next month. We can also expect to see a lot more devices being debuted.

What do you think of these four tablets from MiTAC? Are you looking forward to CeBIT 2011? Let us know your thoughts.
