In an earlier post we told you that the release date would be today’s date, however developers have had to push this date back but have not specified a new date.

One of the Konami producers have put this down to a “last minute issue”, “Sadly it’s delayed due to a last minute issue which we hope to have fixed shortly. Working with the Xbox team to resolve,” Cox said. There has been no word of another release date for the add-on and we are not sure how long this ‘problem’ will take to correct.

We would assume that the problem could not have been major seeing as the game would have been near completion. let’s just hope that the release date is not pushed back too far. We will have to keep you posted on the situation.

We were expecting to hear more regarding the Resurrection DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, however with the Reverie release date pushed back we don’t expect to hear much regarding Resurrection for quite some time

Reverie is the name that Xbox and Playstation owners will be keen to look out for on March 30 as they continue their battle against evil in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The DLC is only one of two packs announced and will be available at a price of 800 Microsoft Points $10.

The Reverie DLC release date mentioned above is for European games, no US date has been confirmed, however we imagine that the US release date will be very similar. The content will pick up from where gamers left off in their campaign but will pose an even darker threat than the one faced before.

However, according to a recent article by Ben Lee over at digitalspy.co.uk, Konami has just announced on the game’s official Facebook page that the “Reverie” DLC’s release date has unfortunately been delayed. Gamers can now expect it to arrive sometime in March.

Although the publisher didn’t give a reason as to why the launch date had been pushed back, they did apologize for the unfortunate delay. Judging by the comment they posted on the Castlevania Facebook page, it looks like the update will be worth the wait.

As noted by Mike Thompson over on the escapistmagazine.com website, it is uncertain at this stage whether or not the “Reverie” release date delay will affect the launch of the “Resurrection” DLC pack, which is scheduled to be released sometime this April.

Konami has recently announced details on 2 upcoming DLC packs, which will both be arriving in 2011.

As recently reported by Nick Chester over at destructoid.com, the first pack is called “Reverie,” while the second is called “Resurrection.” The first DLC pack sees players returning to the castle in order to help Laura, an ex-servant of Carmilla (Queen of the Vampires).

The second pack “Resurrection” – reportedly the larger of the two DLC packs – takes place after the end of the game’s narrative, and gives players a bit of insight into the dramatic ending. According to Konami, it will also feature a final showdown with a notorious enemy.

According to a recent post by Andrew Yoon at joystiq.com, the “Reverie” DLC pack will be arriving in February 2011, while fans can look forward to the “Resurrection” DLC sometime in April. Which pack are you looking forward to the most?
