Who would have thought that one day Olympus would have used its iZuiko lenses on a point-and-shoot instead of their SLRs or micro four-thirds PEN cameras? Well they have and decided to show the XZ-1 off during CES 2011. We had hoped to offer you details earlier, but we just had so much other news to report.

Stuff.TV learned from Olympus the reason why they decided to use their iZuiko lenses in this sub-£400 camera, and that was to help reduce ghosting and flare in the lower range. So let us go over some of the specs, features and also accessories that are already available for the new X-Series camera.

Some of the features and specs include: 10-megapixel, 4X iZuiko zoom lens, HD video recording, dual image stabilization, underwater housing and much more. Then there is the accessory port, which Olympus has already built a number of products for.

There are two flashes available, the FL-14 and the FL-36R Flash; the price for these are $199.99 and $229.99 respectively. The next accessory is the Macro Arm Light (MAL-1); the price is $59.99. For details on other accessories for the XZ-1 compact camera visit the official Olympus website.

Before you even think about video blogging there are a few things that you need to consider first, but the main thing is what equipment to use. There are so many choices that it can often be a minefield out there, but if you are just your ordinary blogger, then we might be able to help you.

We managed to locate a video that was uploaded two months ago, and it offers you advice on how you can get started on video blogging. Do not worry; as this is only for beginners it will not cost you a small fortune to get set up.

Christian Dion first explains that video blogging is a great way in order to stay relevant, and people would much rather watch a video than read about something. His number one recommendation is the Sanyo Xacti, as it is easy to use and compact making it easy to carry around with you.

The next piece of equipment is a mini tripod, as it allows you to place it on a desk and then attach your camera to it. This makes if much easier when filing your video blog. That’s just one idea, but we are sure that you have your own ideal set-up. Please share with us your tips and what equipment you think is best for video blogging.

For those who are in the market for a camera that fits into your low budget, then you can either go for the Nikon Coolpix S205, which we reviewed the other day or the Kodak EasyShare M530.There is one thing that you will notice about both shooters, they come in red.

Some of you may wonder why you would want a camera that stands out that much? The answer is simple – how boring is black? Having a camera that is red in color shows that you are trendy, and that you are not afraid to express yourself.

This camera is made just for social media users, as you can tag images with ease. All you need is your camera, as they can be tagged direct from the device; this makes it ideal when uploading to Flickr, Facebook or the Kodak Gallery, as well as emailing to friends as well.

Some of the features of the red Kodak EasyShare M5530 are as follows: 12-megapixel, 3x optical zoom, 2.7-inch screen, Image stabilization and much more. For more details on this camera Walmart has 8 videos showing you what this camera is all about.

Finding the right digital camera for you is a tough job, one that takes a lot of research. There are so many factors that you have to take into consideration, but for most they just want a compact point and shoot camera, and the Nikon Coolpix S205 could be it. The camera comes in a range of colors, but red has been one of the more popular ones.

The camera is not going to win any medals for taking the best pictures, but what it does offer is decent photo quality that matches most peoples budgets. 12-megapixels seems to be the norm these days, but it is the 4x optical zoom that lets it down – although this will be more than enough for those instant memorable moments.

According to Starred Reviews when the optical is combined with the digital zoom you get an equivalent of 16x; yes this does sound good and will work during the day outside, but take the camera inside or take a night shot and things go south. Its not all bad though, you just have to remember what you are buying the Nikon Coolpix S205 for.

The camera has specs that defy its price along with a selection shooting modes. There is a 2.7-inch display, 50MB built-in memory, Fill-In Flash, Red-Eye Reduction, and a range of Image Editing Features. You have to ask yourself if this camera is for you or not, yes it has a host of great features and only a small price tag – but will it do this things you want? I do know one thing, if you are looking for a camera with more features and improved image quality, then take a look at these three new Nikon Coolpix models.
