Debut gameplay of Call of Duty 5: World at War today

We had a teaser video of Call of Duty 5: World at War a few days ago but what every gamer really wants is some gameplay action from the next version in the COD franchise. The game that’s set in World War II will have its debut gameplay shown today at the Games for Windows Presents: The Big Picture showcase event, this will be hosted by Microsoft.
People who attend this event today will get a hands-on experience with many games and that includes COD 5, the event will also see some of the biggest gaming hardware manufacturers display new gadgets that push the boundaries of gaming technology. Many gamers have complained about COD 5 being set in WWII but we are sure that it will still improve on Call of Duty 4, even if we have to take a little step back in time.
If we get a chance to see some videos of the COD 5 gameplay then we will be sure to post them right away for everyone to see, so remember to check back. Other big games at this Microsoft hosted event will be WALL·E from THQ, Space Siege from SEGA, Kung Fu Panda from Activision, Ghostbusters: The Video Game from Sierra Entertainment, Devil May Cry 4 from Capcom, Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Colonization from 2K Games and Bionic Commando from Capcom.
Microsoft have stated that “Windows continues to lead the gaming industry worldwide in both users and total revenue, and DFC Intelligence expects the PC gaming market to grow by a staggering 73 percent from 2007 to 2013”. This shows just how fast the gaming world is growing and leaving the movie business behind.
Are you looking forward to seeing the Call of Duty 5: World at War gameplay?
Call of Duty: World at War new screenshots

News was only recently released, that the next game in the Call of Duty series would be titled ‘World at War’. It has been stated that the game will return to the World War II era, an announcement which left many of you disappointed after the current success of Modern Warfare.
The general feel from the public is that the game will be ruined as a result of returning back to WW2, after getting so heavily into COD4, which is still very popular and currently has one of the best online game experiences. Until we find out more official details on this game, we should not speculate too much as to what the final outcome will be like, as I’m sure the developers have a good idea and reason for choosing to take the game this way.
In the mean time, check out these freshly leaked screenshots that were taken from an Official Xbox magazine and some websites from around Europe. The images were not due to be released until sometime next week, along with a possible announcement of details of the game, stay tuned to find out upcoming news and events on COD5 as it happens.
As a keen COD4 gamer myself, I am very interested to know how developers will try and build on the success of COD4, and still attempt to target and impress its users with its new game. It certainly could be a risky option to take, what are your views on this matter? How many of you are prepared to buy this game knowing that it will be a totally different experience to COD4.

Call of Duty: World at War (aka COD5): Sad for Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers

COD4 has been an amazing game and thanks to being modern day combat it has become the most played game on both the Xbox 360 and Sony PS3, now today we are hearing that the next game, COD5, will be called “Call of Duty: World at War” and the sad part is it will be based on WWII.
The reason I say sad is because many gamers including myself have come to love a modern combat game and fighting aliens or in past wars can get boring, playing a game with good graphics, gameplay and in today’s world is that much more realistic.
Did you want COD5 to be set in World War 2?
Joystiq had this to say “It surprised precisely no one when Activision last month revealed plans for yet another game in the publisher’s popular Call of Duty franchise, though until now details have been kept just beyond our line of sight. Now new scans lifted from the latest issue of the UK’s Official Xbox Magazine have confirmed earlier rumors that the series’ fifth installment, apparently dubbed Call of Duty: World at War, will be handled by developer Treyarch, and that the game’s previously teased “new military theater” will again drop players behind enemy lines in a battle for the Pacific during World War II”.
