As far as BDXL drives go Buffalo seem to have the more appealing looks, but does it have the features to match its aesthetics. We have news that the company has released their first slim External BDXL Burner, and intend to let you know what was found.

While the optical storage devices with quad layer burning capabilities are limited in the mobile form, Buffalo seem to have achieved the combined features perfectly and has done so in style. The model is named BRXL-PC6U2-BK.

It is an external model that is shiny, slim and satisfies your disc creation needs. As the article at the official Buffalo website explains the device runs on a single USB 2.0 cable but in order to run its 4x writing speeds a second USB 2.0 cable is needed to be connected in order to provide the power needed.

The drive is due out at the end of March and is expected to cost around $275 which is not exactly cheap. It’s listed in the article as being ¥22,100 which you can check out yourself by clicking the link above.

What do you think of the Buffalo burner? Will you be splashing the cash for one? Let us know in the comments below.
