Alpina has managed to take the 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 from the B7, giving the B5 507 bhp with 516 lb-ft of torque. To get the power down an eight-speed auto box, developed with the help of ZF, is bolted to the V8. With this new transmission comes the option for the driver to shift via the buttons mounted on the back of the steering wheel, or just sit back and let the automatic sort these duties for you.

To add to the engine upgrade, Alpina has been busy with the suspension on it’s new ride. Shorter springs lower the car over the 20-inch alloys with new designed control arms to tuck the wheels in tighter. Giving sharper handling the suspension is also electronically adjustable, so it should make the car not only faster but more pleasurable to drive.
