The latest Bluetooth 3.0 technology has now been approved for the Samsung GT-I9250, which we suspect to be the Nexus Prime. This is a big deal for the new handset, as this new version is expected to work much quicker and with less fear of being disconnected. It’s as if the news just keeps getting, but we just hope that it does come with Ice Cream Sandwich, but it’s not looking good if Google launch the device next month.

The moment that the Nexus Prime is released there will already be a huge number of compatible Bluetooth 3.0 accessories, just don’t try to purchase any yet, You might think that we are mad – trying to buy an accessory for a device that is not out – bur believe it or not a few accessories have already begun to appear on websites.

The Nexus Prime might become what Samsung had hoped the Galaxy S II would be, as it was thought that the latter would be going to all four major carriers in the US. We are still uncertain if the Prime exists, but there have been suggestions that AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon will all want to get their hands on the new handset, as the specs looks to blow the S2 out of the water.

Knowing that the Prime will come with Bluetooth 3.0 support is great, as it means that Samsung wants the handset to be compatible with all the latest wireless products on the market. We do not know if this will help to improve battery performance, but one would assume that it would, as that is just what the S II uses? We do not want you to think that this is a huge deal having Bluetooth 3.0; it’s just that it is further confirmation that the device is on its way.

A couple of days ago we announced that LG Electronics had recently introduced the new V300 Apple iMac-like all-in-one PC with 3D FPR display. We have now received word that the company has just unveiled its new P220 laptop, which appears to resemble Apple’s MacBook Pro.

So what exactly does the LG P220 laptop boast specs-wise? According to Steve Andersen over at nexus404.com, the LG P220 weighs in at less than 2 pounds, measures in at around 0.8 inches thick and features a brushed aluminum chassis, 12.5-inch LCD display and a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 and i5 processor.

It also comes with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and runs on the Windows 7 operating system. Unfortunately that is the only information we know about the LG P220 laptop at this stage, as there has been no word on pricing or availability as of yet.

However, there is a possibility that it will join the likes of the LG V300 in being released in Korean markets to begin with and making its way to other regions at a later date. We’ll keep you updated if we do hear anything details on a price and availability. Do you like the looks of the LG P220 laptop?

It has been revealed that Broadcom plan to integrate Bluetooth 3.0 into upcoming chips, these chips will be used in smartphones, netbooks and notebooks etc.

Their new Bluetooth + HD specification should allow transfer speeds of up to 24Mbps between devices, however the standard will still offer a relatively short range.

It is unclear as to when devices will begin offering Broadcom’s Bluetooth, however it is thought that a recent deal with ODM partners suggest it could arrive in laptops and netbooks quite soon.

As we find out more about upcoming Bluetooth 3 devices we will keep you posted, for more information check out HotHardware.
