After informing you about recalls such as MotherCare Buggies, Toy Dart Guns and Army Combat Helmets, a fresh recall has been issued for 44,000 pink giraffe security blankets.

As reported from ChicagoTribune, this is a voluntary recall and has been issued by both the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Rashti & Rashti – the importers of the blankets.

The blankets are sold exclusively at Target stores, but have been recalled over fears that they could cause a choking hazard. The CPSC released the following quote today: “The balls on top of the giraffe’s horns can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.”

At the moment, no injures have been reported over the potential problem. If you own one of these blankets, you are advised to contact Rashti & Rashti for a full refund.
