We have embedded the video at the end of this post, it shows that there is a glitch if you slowly approach the edge of the zipline platform, here the zombies cannot reach you, however you can easily spray at them once a large crowd gathers.

The tactic is great if you have a skilled teammate working with you, this is because if he/she picks up a few max ammos you will not have to move for the entire game (we presume).

If you watch the video you will also see that it looks like George Romero can’t even get to you when you use the glitch, your teammate could always kill George Romero to make things even easier.

We presume that Treyarch will patch this glitch pretty soon so take full advantage of it while it works, that’s if you don’t mind cheating. While we are on the subject feel free to share your own Call of the Dead tips, tricks and strategies on our previous post.

Having played the Call of the Dead zombies map a few times now I must admit that I am far from mastering it, however the general feeling I get after hearing of people reach a high level is that opening as many doors as possible then run and gunning is a great tactic. Once you are used to the map you should be able to get round the map pretty quickly, therefore you can bunch zombies up by doing circuits of the map and then pick them off by spraying at the crowd. You can see a video here which shows a great route for you to take.

Obviously following any particular strategy will require lots of practice, luck and determination, therefore don’t simply dismiss people’s suggestions after trying them once, chances are after a few attempts you will adapt the tips and tricks to suit you and find a game plan which works for you.

Before the release of the previous downloadable map pack, First Strike, Activision kept quiet about the Ascension zombie map which certainly helped build the hype, it looks like Activision like this strategy and have adopted the same approach with the upcoming Call of the Dead zombie map.

Zombies have been a huge success since the days of Call of Duty: World at War, we wonder whether an independent trailer will be released to promote the Call of the Dead zombie map. A previous post told you how Treyarch promised an “Epic Zombies experience” with all-new playable characters, surely this deserves a trailer of its own.

There are short glimpses of the map that we see in the new trailer which begs questions as to what the map could be about and where it could be set. Unlike the titles of the other four maps, we are not given clues to the location for this one, is this significant? What do you expect from the next zombies map?

We have embedded the tutorial video at the end of this post, the video was put together by a YouTube user with the alias “HDJaGGe”, if you love your zombies you should perhaps subscribe to his channel, he has killed over 1 million zombies on Ascension already (see here).

In the video HDJaGGe teaches you some great tactics which allow you to get the most points from each kill, when you start off you will be using the M1911 when using this gun you should use the 5 shot tactic, this basically means you shoot the zombie 5 times with the pistol and then finish him off with a melee attack, this ensures that you get the most points for each kill. When you reach level 2 you must use the 8 shot tactics, which is pretty self-explanatory.

The video shows you what guns to buy, tactics to use and what route to take, it also shows you how to combat the red-eyed monkeys and also suggests that you should try to protect the juggernaut perk more than any other. As you get further into Ascension there is one very important tactic which herds the zombies up whilst they are chasing you, this allows you to easily shoot at a concentrated group of zombies (see image above) and if you run out of ammo there is a path you can take to buy the MP5.

To be honest it is much easier to follow the video embedded below than explain the many different tactics and when you should perform them, therefore watch it below, give it a try and come back and let us know if it worked for you, good luck.

To be honest with you the most interesting thing about this video is the Ascension Zombie map, the trailer video shows just 10 seconds of Ascension footage, the map looks like an abandoned Soviet launch facility and shows us some perk stealing red-eyed monkey zombies and a floating platform which will probably keep the zombies away from you during you hectic battle.

Last week we spoke about the new weapons and perks that you will be able to use when battling through the zombie maps, we are still unsure as to what PhD Flogger will bring, however MTV suggests that it may be similar to Marathon.

If you are not a fan of zombies the video is still well-worth watching, it shows all five maps in more detail than we have seen them before, you can watch the trailer video in HD on GameTrailers.

Xbox 360 gamers have just 1 week to wait until the First Strike DLC arrives on Xbox Live, whilst PS3 will have to wait an additional month, did this new trailer convince you to buy the downloadable content when it’s live?

With all of the Lego games they follow the story line which ever game they are, examples being Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones and the up and coming Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, then they add an element of humor and make the game enjoyable.

If anyone reading this ever played the Lego games then they already know that they aren’t just for kids, they are for adults too. At the end of the article is a video that was created by Keshen8 at Custard Productions for a taster of what I am thinking.

We would love a game like this that could offer something different in the Call of Duty games but will it ever happen? We sure hope so but perhaps not for a couple of years. Personally i would love to see a Lego Call of Duty Zombies Mode, that would be great!

In order to play this song you will need to find and interact with three meteorite rocks that have been hidden throughout the map. The moment that you have done so with all three your character will let you know by making some remark.

Strength Gamer has provided you with details on where to locate each rock. The first is near the staircases in the beginning of the map, the second is to the left of the theater after the alley. The final rock can be found in the dressing room.

For more details on this view the video below, you will even get to see and hear what happens once all have been activated. Was this a good ‘Easter Egg’ or an anti climax?

The action is from the Xbox 360 version of the game and takes place on the Kino der Toten map, here you see a player called Cr1TiKaL take on the zombies single handedly, not only this but he gives your running commentary throughout.

We have embedded the video at the end of this post, we have to advise you that Cr1TiKaL uses pretty strong language throughout the video, so it’s not one to show the kids.

Aside from Cr1TiKaL’s pretty impressive gameplay he also does a bit of showing off, my favorite moment is when he tried a 360 spin into the running dive combo, also his jump shots are quite cool.

The video comes to an end after six rounds, he becomes surrounded by perhaps a dozen zombies, he then sees an insta-kill power-up and a nuke power-up, he decides to take a gamble and run through the zombies attempting to hit the nuke, however accidently hits the insta-kill instead, this results in him getting caught by the zombies and his game comes to an end.

According to Max Debrais of Staho.com Black Ops has also been getting some bad reviews from users complaining about disconnection and time lag. The zombie mode is proving an important part of CoD for gamers who want the game for this part.

Once players finish the single game mode they unlock the special zombie mode which includes characters such as Cuban President Fidel Castro, Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, and President John F. Kennedy. You get to meet these officials when you are summoned for a secret Pentagon meeting. Cubadebate has called the game a “doubly perverse” propaganda concerning Fidel Castro.

Their public statement is claiming that Americans are trying to accomplish in the game what they couldn’t do in over 50 years in real life. They comment on the illegal US assassination attempts against Castro, and the simulation of a sociopathic feeling among the younger generation throughout North America.

Some of you may have already seen this trailer, as it aired exclusively on ESPN a few days ago. For the majority that didn’t though, the trailer is just over a minute in length and compiles some of the game’s cutscene footage in a nicely put together piece.

Sadly, there isn’t any actual gameplay action, but the trailer is pretty good anyway. Whether you are buying the game for it’s single player, multiplayer, co-op, or zombie content, it is safe to say that fans are going to get their money’s worth when the game lands on multiplatform on November 9th.
