It is worth reminding you that Activision are currently on the warpath and are continuing to block any Black Ops gameplay videos they see, so we’d advise you to check it out asap if you want to avoid disappointment.

Aside from some solid Team Deathmatch action, the video also gives us a first look at the ‘Death Machine’ care package drop. It’s essentially a beefed up minigun that you can use for a while, and looks like it will be able to take down enemies with just a few bullets. You’ll find this segment towards the end of the video.

It is a bit disappointing that this remains a closed beta, but as long as the gameplay videos keep coming, we won’t complain! Let us know your thoughts on the latest video.

According to Abstract360, they have identified the ‘First Strike’ listing as a secret internal beta for the upcoming game. The thing is though, if it is internal only, then why has it shown up on the Xbox Live marketplace?

‘First Strike’ doesn’t seem to be related to a multiplayer beta if you ask me, it sounds more like a Co-Op mode more than anything. The listing has since been removed from the website, but you can see what it looked like thanks to the screenshots below.

Interestingly, there is also a ‘download to Xbox 360′ menu and also mentions of prepaid codes. This will ring a few bells since this is exactly the same way which Halo Reach was leaked early for thousands of Xbox 360 owners.

We’ll try and clear up this mystery for you asap. Let us know your ideas on ‘First Strike’.

As reported from VG247, a website known as leakerz has posted a series of images showing the beta client download on the PS3, along with a September 2nd start date and 7pm release time.

The question is though, are these images real or fake? We previously showed you an image of some Google ads revealing the supposed ‘exclusive’ beta on the Xbox 360, but developers Treyarch have yet to confirm anything.

If you ask us, the beta is definitely happening, Treyarch are just waiting for their multiplayer reveal to announce it properly. I doubt it is coming to the PS3 as well though, since Microsoft already have an exclusive deal in place with Treyarch for Map Packs and other goodies.

Of course, it would be lovely if the beta were to appear on both consoles – that would seriously make my day. For now, take these images with a pinch of salt until we hear anything concrete from Treyarch. You can watch a live stream of the event here.
