The concept shows a sporty design that sits four inches flatter than the 5 and 7 Series, whilst giving a glimpse at what the next-generation 6 Series will look like. As with all BMW’s style is everything and looking at the pictures on AutoBlog from the show BMW has not cut corners with the Coupe. Its frameless doors, vaulted bonnet and flat silhouette matched with LED lighting give a exceptionally classy look.

Mondeo’s with this powerplant will be the ones sold in Europe and China. The Ford Mondeo EcoBoost will come with a 2.0-litre engine, turbocharging and direct injection. The results will be a smooth and powerful response.

This new engine will be available to the world by the end of the year and will then come with 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre variants. Ford introduced this system to its 3.5-litre V6 engines in 2009 and offers superb fuel economy figures, 10 percent more than the standard engine.

You will see by the images in this slideshow that the front end of the MPV5 is much larger than that of the standard Volt. The problem with this is the huge amount of drag it causes, so instead of 40mpg, the concept will only achieve 32 miles per gallon.

GM is counting on this new model for the future of its company, as they are still struggling to get back to their former self. The Detroit automaker has already paid back loans given to them by the U.S. and Canadian Government – five years earlier than expected.

For those looking for a concept vehicle with performance, then the Chevrolet Volt MPV5 Concept is not for you – offering just 100mph. However, we have to remember that the way we think of cars is changing – economy and its impact on our planet is now much more important.

The new future vehicle will offer a lightweight design, with the body panels made from composites, which will fit nicely to its aluminum and steel body structure. The unique design does not stop at exterior; the interior matches everything very well, which you can see in the image below.

According to NitroBahn, the Ford Start Concept will be powered with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, this fuel-efficient powerplant will also benefit from a turbocharger offering the same kind of power that you get from a 1.4 liter engine.

Ford has not stopped there, the Blue Oval knows how important technology is, which is why they will be pushing their latest connectivity technology. You will notice in the image above that the console has a touch interface much like the Apple iPhone.

BMW have not offered any details as to what their concept will be – I wonder if it will be anything MINI based? Mercedes has already taken first blood against its rivals by showing of details of its new CLS. This model is different, as it is an estate version.

The Ferrari 599 GTO will also be on at the Beijing Motor Show; this is the first public showing for the supercar – with the Italian Automaker rumored to be offering pricing details. However, do not try and buy one as they are already sold out.

The Chevrolet Volt MPV concept will be making an appearance, along with a Ford Concept, Audi A8, VW Phaeton, BMW 5-series, Porsche Panamera V6 and much more.
