Sci-Fi fans will rejoice with today’s news as details about the upcoming game, Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock which was first announced last month, have been revealed in a trailer that was released by BBC Worldwide today. The main revelation was the fact that the game will be a 2D platform, but don’t let that put you off.

In the past the video game world has only left fans of the famous sci-fi series disappointed as it has failed to deliver a game worthy of being a big hit as the series has been for decades. Things look like they are about to change with this new game though as judging from the trailer it will be delivering some impressive visuals, despite the game being limited to a 2D style of gameplay.

Graphics aside the game also features voice audio recording from actors Alex Kingston and Matt Smith, who play the roles of River Song and Doctor Who. During the clip, which lasts for almost a minute and a half, some of the Doctor’s famous enemies that players are set to face are teased, including Daleks, The Silence, Silurians and Cybermen. According to the BBC’s description ‘Gamers must learn to master the complexities of time travel with exceptional time based game play, changes made in one time will impact another creating multiple possibilities and challenging players to solve puzzles across the centuries.’

It is being developed by Supermassive and is expected to be hitting shelves in March, although for now it has only been confirmed to be on PC, PS3 and PS Vita platforms. Reports of two new Doctor Who titles being released after may give other platform holder something to look forward to. You can check out the trailer below in the meantime. Are you a fan of the good Doctor Who? What do you think of the game so far?

If you just happen to be a huge fan of Top Gear, then we have double the amount of good news for you. Not only is the popular motoring show making a return to UK TV screens tonight, but we now have news that BBC Worldwide has just released the Top Gear: Stunt School app for iOS devices.

According to a recent article by Steve McCaskill over at pocketgamer.co.uk, the game – which is of course based on the hit TV series – enables its players to update their vehicles with road-safe additions such as hang-gliders and jet engines, in order to complete different challenges.

There are a total of 60 physics-based stunt challenges to complete, as well as 20 sandbox challenges. The game features nine different car types, and two billion different combinations of unlockable upgrades and modifications that can be added to players’ vehicles.

Players can then use their modified cars to try and beat the Stig’s lap time on the Top Gear Test Track, or maybe challenge their mates to beat their scores or lap times. You can read more about the Top Gear: Stunt School app – which costs £2.39 / $3.99 via itunes.apple.com.
