Battlefield 3 has been available now for a few days and has been pretty well received by most that have got it so far. There were a few problems with the games servers going down, but the title has sold really well. Now we have reports that some Battlefield 3 online passes are not working, and a solution has been offered.

The use of online passes has grown a great deal in recent times as developers look to stem losses from consumers buying used games. Purchasers of used games will then have to spend $10 if they want to play the game online, which according to the reviews of Battlefield 3 is the best part.

According Gameranx many Xbox 360 owners who have gone out and bought a new copy of Battlefield 3 have found the online code not working. The problem has reportedly occurred because many retailers had received copies of the game with invalid codes. This obviously leaves gamers not able to get access to the best part of Battlefield 3.

EA have now got involved and have basically told customers to go back to the retailer they purchased the game and get a new online pass code. Trouble is what do owners do if they purchased the game online, or if the retailer in question has no replacement codes left? Hopefully EA will have a different solution soon, but it will be frustrating for owners trying to get online with no luck.

Did your online code work for Battlefield 3?

Since Battlefield 3 beta was released there has been a huge amount of complaints, but the other reactions have been pretty positive. To keep the good news going Gamestop has announced that not only will the Xbox 360 be getting a BF3 bundle but also the PS3 as well. However, you are advised to pre-order now to avoid disappointment.

For years the Xbox has been getting there kind of bundles, so nice to see that the PlayStation 3 is getting a piece of the pie. We are not certain if other countries will be offering a Battlefield 3 PS3 bundle, but we cannot see any reason why not? This will also help Sony shift a few more consoles over the holiday season, and now is the time for them to start thinking about that.

So what do you get in the PS3 bundle we hear you ask? The first is that 160GB console, then there is the game itself, the price for this will be $299.99. Do not expect to just get them once they become available, you can only have once if your pre-order, due to the fact that numbers will be limited.

We already know that Modern Warfare 3 is getting in on the bundle action, but it is the Xbox 360 version that looks kind of awesome. If you visit Joystiq you will see it in all its glory there, as well as details on the new wireless headset to go with it. The console has a 320GB hard drive, and two controllers. However, we do not have a price or if it will be released the moment the game comes out.

If you are an Xbox 360 owner and had a feeling that EA may be prioritizing the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 over the Xbox 360 version, we have some excellent news for you. A screenshot has been revealed online, supposedly confirming a multiplayer beta for the Xbox 360.

The image has apparently been provided by a EA UK employee and his Twitter account, although the Twitter page associated with the user has now been deleted. Below is the image in question so you can take a look at it for yourself – it looks pretty authentic to us.

As you can see, the image of the Xbox 360 beta on screen is accompanied by a full Xbox 360 setup in the user’s living room, which perhaps provides even more evidence that this is real and not just a photoshop created quickly on the PC.

Other points of observation in the screenshot include the Frostbite, EA and DICE logos, complete with an EA disclaimer and auto saving reminder in the bottom right and left corners of the image.

Obviously, EA are yet to confirm whether this screenshot is real or not, but it does provide Xbox 360 owners with a real glimmer of hope that they will also be included into the beta which is scheduled to take place on the PS3 and PC sometime this month. Don’t forget that gamers who purchased the limited edition version of Medal Of Honor have already been guaranteed access into the beta, but we expect there will be plenty of other ways to get in as well.

Is it the second most anticipated beta of the year behind Modern Warfare 3? Some of you may even be thinking that this game will take priority on all platforms ahead of any other game. A beta release will give EA a good indication on just what demand they are dealing with for when the full game releases on October 25th.

Are you excited about participating in the Battlefield 3 beta?
