Hamil who is also reportedly involved with Star Wars, told IGN UK that he was reluctant to return to the Joker seat after developer Rocksteady asked him to come back again by saying “Guys, we’re never going to be able to top the original.” He also added that his intention was to leave on ”a high note” due to the success of the original Arkham Asylum game.

But it is thought that Rocksteady managed to talk him out of it, and come down and do the voice acting for one last time. It must have taken something pretty special to convince him to return as the guy sounded pretty adamant that he was not going to return.

Sworn to secrecy, unfortunately he did not reveal any information about the upcoming title, but was definitive that this would be the last time he would come back to reprise his role as the Joker.

Whatever Rocksteady has got in store, I’m sure it will blow us away more than the original Arkham Asylum. What are your hopes for the sequel?

As reported from VG247, this is not a delay of any sort, since no estimated release was given by Rocksteady in the firstplace. We knew it was coming months ago – we just didn’t know ‘when’.

Here is what a UK retailer told CVG this week: “We’ve been told that Warner has acted early to avoid releasing the game into a heavily congested pre-Christmas market,”

We don’t think too many of you will be upset over this. AA was such a great game that we’re sure most of you want the developers to take their time on the sequel – how ever long it takes.

We have heard rumors about Two-Face and Mr.Freeze appearing in the game this week though. Let us know your thoughts on a 2011 release.

As reported from VG247, rumors are now suggesting that Mr Freeze and Talia Al Ghul will be featured in the game, after both voice actors for the game left rather revealing tweets on their Twitter accounts.

They have since been deleted, but once again we have them for you here. A tweet from Maurice LaMarche, who voices Freeze said this: “I’ve only done a handful (video games), and I’m very lucky right now, I’m about to go in and do Mr. Freeze for Arkham Asylum 2.”

Meanwhile, Stana Katic was also at it on her Twitter account as she had this to say: “Just recorded a character voice on the next Batman video game. For those who were asking: I’m voicing Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in “Batman Begins”).”

So there we have it. That is two more characters added to the growing list for the sequel. Are you getting excited yet? I know, I am. If Arkham Asylum is anything like the first title, we are all in for a treat. Fact.

As reported from Eurogamer, Conroy confirmed that Two-Face will be appearing in the game, while also revealing that the game will be ‘really, really dark’. How dark you say Kevin?

After getting ‘conned’ (see what we did there?) into revealing Two-Face to an audience member at a recent expo event in Chicago, he also had this say:

“There’s a very complicated cast; a lot of villains are in it. I’ll just leave it at that!”

Further details on the game are still unknown at the moment, although we do know that Joker will be returning, while Robin has also been rumored to be making an appearance.

As reported from VG247, the game’s listing over at the IMDB website shows Robin will be voice-casted by none other than Vincent Martella. Fans of Final Fantasy XIII (released today) will instantly recognise that name, as he voices Hope in the game.

You’ll also be pleased to know other voices from the first game will be returning, like Mark Hamill as The Joker, and Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn.
