It was only last week that we brought you details on the very first screenshots from Back to the Future: The Game, which will be made available for the PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and the Apple iPad. Now we can bring our readers the very first trailer.

According to a recent article over at el33tonline.com by Oliver, the developer – Telltale Games – has now released the first trailer for the upcoming game and I have to say, it looks pretty good. Just like the screenshots, the trailer shows the iconic DeLorean DMC-12 time machine.

Back to the Future: The Game features the likenesses of both Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox, who as any of you will know played Doc Brown and Marty McFly in the films respectively. Christopher Lloyd is voicing his Doc Brown character, while A.J. Locascio will be the voice of Marty McFly.

You can watch the trailer below this post. Are you looking forward to the release of Back to the Future: The Game? If you are, what platform will you be buying it on?

If you happen to be a fan of the “Back to the Future” movie franchise, you may have read our previous article announcing the upcoming release of the new Telltale Games title “Back to the Future: The Game.” We now have news on the recently-released screenshots.

According to Tamoor Hussain at computerandvideogames.com, the developer has just released the game’s first screenshots and although there’s only three, they do look pretty awesome. They do of course include a picture of the iconic DeLorean DMC-12 time machine.

The other screenshots feature the character likenesses of both Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown – who is in fact voiced by the original actor Christopher Lloyd – and Marty McFly, who as many of you know was played by Michael J. Fox in the “Back to the Future” movies.

Telltale Games has also acquired the rights to develop a brand new episodic “Jurassic Park” game. “Back to the Future: The Game” will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Mac OS X and the Apple iPad. Will you be buying the title when it’s released? You can view the screenshots via CVG.

The guys behind the new Back to the Future game coming on PC, and most recently announced for the iPad — Telltale Games, have given BTTF fans the chance to get the first episode of the game for FREE. Great Scott!

In the words of Huey Lewis “Don’t need money, don’t need fame. Don’t need no credit card to buy this game,” well almost, he would be right. This is because Telltale are giving BTTF fans a chance to get the first episode free of charge just by clicking a link and registering on their website. If you already have a Telltale account, then all you have to do is sign in and follow the link below.

The news comes just in time for the 25th anniversary of the first Back to the Future film, where Marty had his first heavy adventure taking him back to October 25, 1985.

Telltale Games, the company behind the recently popular ‘Tales of Monkey Island’ franchise are set to release a new BTTF game, and while it was announced back at E3 that the company had signed a partnership with Universal to bring this and Jurassic Park to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, we have some fresh news that will interest the die-hard Back to the Future fans.

Marty McFly will be in the game, and a likeness of Michael J. Fox will be used to portray him to star alongside Doc Brown who will also voice his own character.

Even though we never got to see a BTTF 4 film make it to Hollywood, Bob Gale who worked on the screenplays for the original films is working with Telltale on a plot for the five planned episodes that are set to include the DeLorean and the setting of Hill Valley in California.

The game is set in the year 1985, and journey’s through time are set to take place leading you to meet other characters that also appeared in the original trilogy.

While this is not much to go on, you’ve got to be happy that Lloyd and Gale are both involved in the games development. At least then we can get a sense of realism and maybe even get a close glimpse of what BTTF 4 could have been.

Remember how cool the power laces were when you first saw them on Back to the Future 2? Well the amazing future-invention could now become a reality as it has been discovered that Nike have filed a patent to get these bad boys in production.

Back in July, we detailed an article on how you can make your own DIY power laces courtesy of blakebevin, who posted the instructions online.

Of course, the power-lace technology was first put to the Nike name within the second BTTF film. And now with just 5 years to go until the start of the Back to the Future 2 film’s story takes place, we could all be wearing power laces in a few years time, that’s if Nike actually put these in production.

By the looks of the patent, the shoes look to include a charging system and some lights along with the power-lacing component.

It is unfortunate that many patents do not get through the first stages, but I among many others will be keeping our fingers (and laces) crossed for this one!

Would you ever wear power-laces if they were brought out into the trainer world?

Ok, well maybe not in the fashion we expected. Nike has not exactly put anything of the sort in to production. But while celebrating the Back to the Future 25th anniversary, one fan set to work on recreating the famous ‘Hyperdunk’ shoes. “Power laces! Alright!”

Yesterday we covered a story on another BTTF technology that has also become a reality. The flying car. It will cost under $200,000 and will be avaliable in the year 2011. Back to the Future 2 was not too far off then!

A user called blakebevin, the re-creator of the Hyperdunks has posted the instructions online how you can mimic the power laces, using a motor, Arduino microcontroller, a pair of hightop sneakers, and other bits and bobs.

Once you are done with these instructions, you should have your very own pair of working Hyperdunks. Just imagine showing those to your friends! Check out the video below to see the finished product.

What do you think of the Hyperdunk recreation?

This is heavy! Coming straight from Marty’s mouth, we have some news for all you Back to the Future fans out there. Your favorite 80′s film that involved a mad scientist and a kid wearing a life-jacket who traveled through time at 88MPH is about to be made into a computer game.

Telltale Games, the company who also recently took the Monkey Island series on board have signed a deal with Universal that gives them the right to take two classic movie franchises, and turn them into games. The other being Jurassic Park.

Just like Monkey Island, it seems as though BTTF will be released in episodic form. Meaning we will receive and be able to download a different episode every month or so.

What I really hoping for here, is that they get it right. They have to at least try and create the magic that was in the films. Remember, Hoverboards do not work on water, you can’t time travel unless you have the flux capacitor, and Marty is not a chicken.

Finally, a Back to the Future game that could have potential. How do you think Telltale will do with the release? What are your thoughts?
