Aunt Jemima pancake and waffle mix recall

It has been reported that The Quaker Oats Co. are recalling a number of Aunt Jemima Pancake & Waffle Mix Products over potential salmonella contamination from raw or undercooked ingredients.
According to efluxmedia.com the company said that a small quantity of Aunt Jemima Pancake & Waffle Mix: Original, Original Complete, and Buttermilk Complete are included in the recall and it’s said that no other Aunt Jemima or Quaker products are affected.
The recalled products that are said to be affected are sold in 2-pounds and 5-pound boxes with best before dates of February 8, 2009 through February 16, 2009 stamped on the top.
The company also asked any consumer with the recalled products to return them to the place they were purchased for a full refund.
What is Salmonella?
Salmonella, a food borne illness, can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail in elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
