According to the press release, which was sent to Autoblog, the R8 BiTurbo has lost all of its paint, and then been highly polished; a process that took more than 700 hours to do – now that’s commitment. However, looking at the images of this thing we have to say that it was well worth the effort.

MTM were not happy with the already insanely fast R8, so thought that twin-turbochargers were needed. The coupe is now tuned to produce 777 horsepower, which is enough to propel the MTM Audi R8 to 217mph. This is not fast when you look at the Veyron, but at a fraction of the price it truly is an amazing achievement.

If you want something a little less in your face, then the Audi TT RS from MTM is another coupe to consider. This one still has all its paint and offers a 472hp engine. This car, which will be on show in just a few days will reach speeds of 195mph – would you have ever thought that an Audi TT would ever hit just under 200mph?
