The new range of cars now come with many more speakers – such as the Audi Q7 with 14. However, this pales in comparison to their new Q7 Prototype with 62 speakers.

The German automaker has got together with the Institute for Digital Media Technology once again and has come up with the new Wave Field Synthesis or WFS for short. Included in the 62 speakers are five woofers and five tweeters, but do not think that this is an add-on designed to make you be heard as your drive around the streets.

Each speaker is controlled by a central computer and is always making changes to make certain that you get the best sound possible. The computer running the system can delay sound to a speaker so that the sound does not get mixed up with the other sounds – so you will never hear a bunch of noise like those pimped out rides do.
