However, you will have to be a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise to pay $615,000 for one.

On November 25, just one day before Black Friday Christie’s auction house will be auctioning off the mask, helmet and armor as worn by David Prowse – although we all know that James Earl Jones provided the voice. The black helmet is expected to fetch $250,000 ($160,000) and the mask and armor $365,000 (£230,000)

According to an AP report, the Darth Vader costumes was worn in “The Empire Strikes Back”, which many say was the best of the original three movies. We know that there have been another three since – but we all know how they turned out?

We cannot see the average Star Wars fan bidding on this one, but it would sure be nice if it would be put in a museum somewhere. These movies are a part of history, and have had more of an effect on people’s lives than a lot of the artifacts stuck in a museum.

We can laugh at these now, but I wonder if our kids will be laughing at the concept designs that will make an appearance at the 2010 Paris Motor Show in years to come?

Some concept designs never leave the drawing board, but there are those that are built to be unveiled at auto shows as well as press events, such as the 1960’s Pininfarina X Concept. At first I had to laugh at how the vehicle was designed, but I almost spat my cereal out when I saw that ATS Collections was asking $3 million for it.

Now that I have taken the time to take a closer look at the design of this concept car, i have to admire how bold it is. However, I do worry that the team at Pininfarina was watching too many episodes of The Jestson’s.

Looking from the front you will be forgiven for thinking that you were staring at a bubble car, while at the rear you could easily be looking at a Cadillac. We can safely say that there is not another car like this on the planet, but do you think that it is worth 3 million bucks?
