Asus have recently unveiled a new high-end video card, this is no ordinary graphics card, in fact Asus claim that it is the World’s fasted single graphics card.

This video card is called the Asus Ares, it features two ATI 5870 GPUs and boasts 4GB of GDDR5 RAM, to give you a rough idea of performance it is roughly 30% faster than the ATI 5970 video cards.

Two keep these two GPUs cool the card uses a copper heatsink with a metal shroud, the card itself is made up of a custom PCB and high quality components.

If you are in to overclocking the Ares could be a good choice, it comes with Asus Voltage Tweak option to get the most out of the GPUs, if you are worried about overheating you will be glad to hear that it also features fan controls.

Asus have not yet revealed details regarding pricing and a release date, therefore we will have to keep you posted, for more information check out the source link below.

The ASUS ARES Dual HD 5870 has the nickname “God of War”, so you would assume that its performance would be awesome – well you would not be wrong. The first thing that you need to know about this video card is its price, $1200 – but remember that it is a full custom version with two Radeon HD 5870 GPUs working side-by-side.

We thought that this was the perfect time to have a review roundup of this awesome card – not that many units will be sold for that price. Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 gamers will wonder why anyone would want to spend so much money on a graphics card for a computer – but then PC gamers will just look at what the consoles offer graphics wise and just laugh.

Sean Hollister from Engadget has found what he believes are the best reviews on the Internet for the ASUS ARES 5870, these are: Legit Reviews, Overclock3D, Guru3D, PC Perspective and TechPowerUp. They all offer their own opinion on this 4GB of GDDR5 video card.

Engadget points out how heavy the hardware is and how it runs hot enough burn. That’s why you have to have a 750 PSU installed in your PC. To read all the reviews visit link early on in this paragraph.
