Within the next hour or so we should finally know everything we need to about the Apple Tablet, a recent article posted on Reuters looks at whether or not the Apple Tablet will be eco-friendly.

Obviously it is in Apple’s interest to be economical, however when it comes to using eco-friendly materials it is entirely up to Apple.

Apple’s Tablet will be doing it’s bit for the environment no matter what, this is because it will promote electronic media such as ebooks etc, this will reduce the amount of trees being cut down for traditionally printed media, and also save the energy associated with lumbering.

It would be nice to hear that Apple have chosen to use environmentally friendly materials for their Tablet, this is because disposal of electronics is extremely bad for the environment, for more details check out Reuters.

By now we all know about the Apple Tablet, it is either the worst secret or a great scam by bloggers. However, you have to hand it to the iPhone maker for not letting any official information out about what the device will look like and what specs it has.

ZDNet does point out that the new Tablet PC or iTablet as it has been dubbed could end up being a game changer when it comes to digital entertainment. The reason for this is simple, your whole home entertainment system could center on the new Apple device.

ZDNet points out that they do not expect the tablet to replace your new large screen LCD TV, but it will change how you interact with it and the content that you view on it. While talking to mu cousin today, he suggested that it could interact with your Apple TV, allowing you to use it as an advanced remote system to access the content and then set up what you wish to view.

The first thing that you would want to do once you get the new device, well if it exist is to get rid of your current universal remote. With the right app, you will be able to access all your home entertainment equipment, although this would require infrared on the tablet device.

There is a possibility that the iTablet could work as a media streamer, and with Wi-Fi capabilities, we are certain that this will happen. Whatever the Apple Tablet PC will look like, it will certainly change our life in the home.

We have seen many rumored photos of the expected Apple tablet PC, but the most convincing had to be the photos that Engadget posted recently. If any photos would turn out to be official Apple tablet pictures then our money would be on these.

With almost two hours before Apple’s announcement, ITProPortal thought it would be a good time to take a closer look at these photos in their deeper analysis of Engadget’s Apple Tablet PC pictures. You can see their article here.

These photos could still be fake, and some hints point to this like a 4:3 screen format rather the 16:9 one on current iPod Touch and iPhones. This would mean that widescreen movies playing on that Apple tablet would have large black bars either side (not good if this was true).

Check out the photo analysis via the above link, and read the pros and cons to decide yourself. What would you like to see in an Apple Tablet?

Websites have changed their tone about Apple’s Tablet PC and it’s release, at first it was a possibility and now words like “will” are being used. Blogs and news sites feel that the Tablet PC – rumored to be called iSlate – is definitely coming tomorrow at Apple’s event.

Real Wire has posted a press release that says “tomorrow will see” the release of Apple’s new e-Reader tablet device, and that it must take on the competition that includes the Sony Reader and Amazon’s Kindle-Reader.

Apple changed the music industry with the iPod and if they do the same for eReaders with the Apple Tablet / iSlate / iPad device, then Apple can help change reading habits forever. Apple is known for bringing a really cool device to market and changing that industry forever, they did it with both the iPod and iPhone.

So the competition should not be worried as a new product from Apple tomorrow could help other brands sell more eReaders than ever before. Have a read of the post on Real Wire, which has even included contact information for the marketing director of YUDU Media, who wants to talk to people about Apple’s tablet Announcement (talk about expectations).

What are you expecting from Apple’s event tomorrow?

Following on from Apple’s Q1 2010 earnings that we mentioned yesterday, many of us have been wondering if Apple will unveil its new Tablet PC or the iPhone 4G at their Press Event tomorrow. However, it has been said that Steve Jobs gave a wink and hinted that it will be the tablet device that will be the big news.

According to Electric Pig, Apple COO Tim Cook also added more speculation by saying “I wouldn’t want to take away your joy and surprise on Wednesday when you see our latest creation.” This was just after Jobs announced that Apple had become a $50 billion company.

We are still not certain what the name of the tablet PC will be called yet; the three names in contention are the iSlate, iPad and iTablet. Let us know what one you prefer. It seems that Apple can do no wrong at the moment, and this latest device will only help strengthen the company while others are struggling.

Apple sales have been impressive in 2009, iPhone sales saw a 100% increase with iMac sales up by 33%. However, it was not all good, iPod sales were down 8% over the previous year, this could have something to do with Apple not launching a new model like they have with the iPhone and iMac computers.

If I were a betting man I would say that we will see the new Apple Tablet PC, a new version of the iPhone OS and also a Verizon iPhone.

Tomorrow we should finally see the unveiling of the Apple Tablet, this Tablet is attracting a lot of attention despite the fact that there are a lot of other competitive devices to talk about to.

A recent article posted on Electricpig looks into 10 competing devices, some of which are released already, and some of which are upcoming.

One device which will be a close rival to the Apple Tablet is the HP Slate, although there is a still a lot unknown about this device I’m sure HP’s build quality and pricing will be spot on.

Another device which may be a strong competitor is the rumored Microsoft Courier, if this device turns out to be real it should feature dual 7inch displays, e-reader functionality and a camera.

Over the last few weeks we have seen a lot of concept images of the upcoming Apple Tablet/iSlate/iPad, however an image recently posted on TechCrunch seems to be being tipped as a legitimate Apple Tablet.

According to TechCrunch’s article the pictures leaked following an Apple employee sending the pictures to a friend, obviously this story is questionable, but hey almost every story surrounding the Apple Tablet has been questionable.

If this does turn out to be the Apple Tablet I think you will agree it has a very minimalistic design with no visible buttons, the Tablet is sitting on a MacBook Pro which helps you determine the size of the Tablet.

If this is the Apple Tablet do you like the look of it?

With just two days until the Apple Press Event all eyes will be staring at the stage, in the hope that Steve Jobs will walk on. There have been reports that Jobs has already made a statement about the Apple Tablet PC saying, “This will be the most important thing I’ve ever done.” Even more than the iPhone

There is no official information that Jobs actually said this, but according to Tech Crunch, this has come from senior sources at Apple. Friends of Jobs as well as work colleagues have said that they have never seen him as exited as this before.

This does seem strange, he has given us so many great devices, such as the MacBook Air that I type on now and the Apple iPhone that has taken the cell phone market by storm. We have to wonder what makes the tablet device so special?

Tech Crunch wonders how Steve Jobs can think that the iPhone was just a warm up act. We cannot wait until the Apple Press Event now, the iSlate, iPad, iTablet or whatever you want to call it looks set to send Apple shares soaring.

Do you think the Apple Tablet will be more important than the iPhone?

Looking at a recent survey on the rumored Apple iSlate tablet PC, it looks as though potential customers would be willing to pay $700 for the device. However, there were rumors that the tablet could cost up to $1000, we will just have to wait until January 27, which is the day of the Apple Press Event.

According to T3.com, a number of customers would be willing to pay more than $700 for the rumored tablet PC, but how much better would the device be than the cheaper iPhone. Rumors suggest that the tablet will run on iPhone 4.0 OS, so how much more does it have to offer than the smartphone?

In the survey, it shows that at least 44% of consumer would not purchase the tablet if it came with a monthly data plan to gain mobile Internet access. The survey also showed that 39% of consumers would not even bother to purchase the iSlate / iPad without a monthly plan.

It seems that 73% of consumers were worried that the battery life on the device would be poor; if it offers more than 6 hours then they would consider purchasing the latest Apple gadget. However, latest rumors suggest that the screen would be OLED; this would certainly help increased battery life.

Apple is keeping things very close to their chest, as they always do. We are not even certain that the Tablet exists, only four days to wait.
