Whenever a new device comes onto the market there are two things that we like to see, ‘Will it Blend?” and the complete teardown of that product. The latest gadget released is Apple’s Magic Trackpad, and the iFixit team has been let loose with their tools, which you can see for yourself in the video below.

The team make a note of how had it is to replace parts in thin Apple products if they ever go wrong – the main reason is because there is not many parts to replace. Those who do try to repair such a delicate device can often find themselves breaking it beyond repair, and the Magic Trackpad is no exception.

Do not let the thin design fool you; Apple has designed a product that has a multitude of components. As always, iFixit has a complete step-by-step guide with its teardown. They point out that not many Apple products have serviceable batteries, but as this is just like the Bluetooth keyboard, they are just AA batteries.

The teardown process is to be done at your own risk, and will make its warranty invalid. Visit iFixit now for the complete Magic TrackPad teardown, good luck and try not to loose anything. If you like this, then see our recent post on the iPhone 4 teardown.

You can always count on Daring Fireball to come up with some gems when it comes to Apple news, John Gruber has a list of devices that he thinks could get a mention at the WWDC 2010 today – one of those items is the Apple Magic Trackpad. This does make sense; we know how Apple loves touch input.

We have known about this device for a while now but seems to have gotten lost with all the iPhone 4G / HD news. We know that most of what we hear will never launch when we expect it to be, but we sure hope Steve Jobs or one of the team does announce this ultimate accessories for Apple computer users wanting a bit more interaction with their devices.

Joshua Topolsky from Engadget explains that the Apple Magic Trackpad will connect to your computer via Bluetooth, and looks a lot like a smaller version of the slim Mac keyboard, but without the keys. Apple have taken all of its touch technology used on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and packed it in a device that will benefit desktop users.

With just hours to go until the Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 keynote, all questions will be answered – let us hope that Jobs does not let us down. Get live WWDC 2010 Keynote times and coverage here
