Apple iTunes users have also been warned about an email that is being sent, claiming to be from the company themselves which according to The Telegraph contains what’s disguised as $50 credit towards buying videos, games and music from the site. In fact it contains a compressed file known as Mal/BredoZp-B that when downloaded would allow hackers access to Windows PC computers by opening a security hole from which information such as passwords can be stolen remotely.

Facebook users have been targeted many times in the past with various scams. The latest attempt is being warned by security firm Sophos who says that some users have again received emails claiming to be from the website. The email says they have violated the terms of their account by annoying or insulting others users, before linking them to an ‘account disabled’ form, which of course is fake, asking for personal details to be entered in order to restore their account.

In the case of the iTunes hack, malware of this sort can reportedly be removed although in the meantime irreversible damage can be done. As for the Facebook scam, users are being reminded by Sophos that reputable sites like this would never ask for information of that kind. The number of cyber-attacks seems to be on the rise so we advise caution when receiving offers and emails of this kina and remember if something looks too good to be true, it often is.

As noted by Katie Marsal over on the appleinsider.com website, the free application – which is available to download now from the Apple App Store – will even allow users to watch the live performances on their HDTV via AirPlay. This year’s festival is taking place at The Roundhouse in Camden Town, London, and will feature a total of 62 bands spanning over 31 nights (the entire month of July).

The very first iTunes Festival was held back in 2007 at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, and included performances from the likes of Mika, Crowded House, Beverly Knight and Amy Winehouse. One of the bands playing at this year’s festival is Coldplay. Not only has the band participated in an Apple commercial before, but they also played at last year’s annual Apple iPod event.

According to John C Abell over at wired.com, all of the performances will be available on-demand once the iTunes Festival is over, so users don’t have to worry if they missed their favorite band or artist performing. However, we are not sure how long these performances will be available within the iTunes Festival London 2011 app, or the total hours of footage that will be included.

This year’s festival definitely isn’t a lightweight one. Some of the bands that will be performing at this year’s festival include Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Kasabian, Friendly Fires and Duran Duran. In addition to being able to watch the live performances, the iTunes Festival London 2011 app also features a schedule, a photo archive from previous iTunes festivals and news feed with information on the artists.

The 2011 line-up also includes the likes of Paul Simon, Linkin Park, Manic Street Preachers, Noah and the Whale, Example, James Morrison, The Wanted, Katy B, Bruno Mars, White Lies, Magnetic Man and Swedish House Mafia. As Dusan over on the intomobile.com website recently reported, SkyGrid version 2.0 – which is now available to download from the Apple App Store – comes with a dedicated ‘following’ feature, which not only enables users to follow a specific subject, but also follow any website.

The app’s ‘following’ tab will list all the topics and websites that you are interested in, whether it is a company, a product or even a sports team. The SkyGrid app will constantly search more than one million sources, including blogs, social websites and mainstream news to provide users with the highest quality results.

It’s not just the ‘following’ tab that’s been added to the updated SkyGrid application either, as version 2.0 also features fast article page loading, suggested sites and subjects, the ability to search and navigate from a single site and rich photographs throughout streams.

As noted over on the itunes.apple.com website, the SkyGrid news app is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, but does require Apple iOS 3.1 or above.

What’s the Dealforce application all about I hear you ask? Well according to a recent article by Dusan over at intomobile.com, it’s a brand new social-shopping app that enables users to add any deals they discover, as well as share them with other Dealforce users in their area.

To make this possible however, the Dealforce application relies on a GPS receiver in order to pinpoint a user’s location and include it with the information on the deal. The app also enables users to interact with one another, as well as show their appreciation by ‘Loving’ the deals they post.

The application also comes in very handy for merchants, as it also enables them to post their hot deals and hopefully gain more business in the process. The Dealforce app is only available on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad at this stage, but Nextag is planning on releasing an Android version.

As Daniel over on the intomobile.com website recently reported, Demolition Dash is a side-scrolling run-n-jump game that sees players taking control of a monster called Zilla, who has decided to travel around the world and cause as much damage as it possibly can.

The game will see Zilla visiting some of the world’s most iconic cities such as Moscow, Paris and Tokyo. As Zilla runs through every city, it will run up a dollar amount that equals to how much damage it has caused. Each city features a number of objects to destroy.

These include trees, abandoned vehicles and balloons. Zilla will also run into a number of enemies during its journey, which it will either have to avoid or let out a roar in order to knock them out of the way. The aim is to make it to the end of the level without losing all Zilla’s health.

However, the Demolition Dash game does up the challenge a little, as each level will also have a challenge that enables Zilla to earn serious cash if the challenge is completed. The challenges range from destroying billboards, to collecting balloons and knocking down garbage cans.

According to Anthony Usher over at pocketgamer.co.uk, users will now be able to use Apple’s Game Center to view a list of their friends, as well as visit their villages for a daily bonus. The update also provides users with four new houses: L.O.V.E, Strawberry, Honey Stash and Mushroom Hut.

Users will also have the ability to place their piles, houses and decorations anywhere they want. In other words, they can ‘plant’ piles in their village and condos in their gardens. You will now be able to feed your bugs Ice Cream when they become tired.

Ice Cream stays in your village for 48 hours, and doubles the time it takes for your creatures to become hungry again. The updated Bug Village app (version 1.1.0) also features new missions and new tasks for each pile, as well as a number of tweaks. Have you previously downloaded the Bug Village iOS game?

You may have heard of Kiloo before as they are not new to the app store having already provided the apps Whac-a-Mole, Zenses Rainforest and more. Their new app now means Frisbee tossing can be done wherever you are whether it is in the lounge, in a car or even on a plane knowing that no damage can be done.

Frisbee Forever is said to have similarities to Angry Birds when it comes to the fingertip sized Frisbee controls and also the graphics used, though it isn’t as addictive apparently.

Never the less if you are the owner of an iPad, iPod Touch or an iPhone then you may wish to give it a try for yourself. You can download it now at iTunes by clicking the link above where you can also check out more details about the game.

According to the itunes.apple.com website, the game has been receiving some pretty impressive reviews since it hit the App Store. In fact, the iphonegamerblog.com website gave the iOOTP Baseball 2011 game a perfect score of 5 out of 5 stars (see their review here).

The iOOTP Baseball 2011 game – which utilizes the same robust simulation engine as that found in the Out of the Park Baseball game for PC and Mac – features three different gameplay modes including Historical Replay, Fictional and Major Leagues.

The Major Leagues mode enables gamers to choose a team and play out the 2011 season, while the Historical Replay mode allows players to choose one of three past seasons: 1923, 1965 and 2004, to see if the outcome is any different. Fictional will create one of three fictional baseball worlds.

Once players have selected a gameplay mode and chosen a team, they will then have to handle every aspect of managing it. Players will be able to manage their teams, decide when to bring in relief pitchers and pinch-hitters and even step into the General Manager’s shoes.

As Dusan over at intomobile.com recently noted, the TripIt – Travel Organizer app provides users with access to all of their trip reservations in just one place, including hotel, air, entertainment and more. It also comes with a new mapping feature, as well as GPS-enabled driving directions.

The app also provides users with airport information and seat assignments. According to reports, over 70 percent of current TripIt users either own or are planning on purchasing an Apple iPad. Don’t worry if you’re not an existing TripIt user, as you can easily become one from within the app.

TripIt – Travel Organizer allows you to access all of your itineraries at a glance, and then explore them on a map. While users are in the map view, they will be able to see hotels, airports, ground transportation, restaurants and even entertainment venues.

With the latest version 3.0.1, which you can get at Skype’s official website, you can now make video calls over more devices that include the app, this means more clients to chat to including those using Skype for TV. For more details about the update you can check out iTunes.

Although Skype for TV is only available to certain Samsung, LG and Panasonic TV owners at the moment, other manufacturers such as Sony have announced they will include the app later in the year in some of their new HDTVs. The update will be available to iPads, iPhones and iPod touches that have iOS 3.0 or later.

Engadget say that being able to use mobile devices such as the iPhone to chat through TV also gives Skype an advantage over other chat apps from the likes of Microsoft’s Kinect and Logitech. However they also say that it defies the point of being out enjoying the world when you have to go in and chat in front of the TV. You read about what else Engadget thought here.
