The only thing we know for sure is that Apple are inviting people to come and see their latest creation, surely this latest creation has to be the iSlate.

The latest rumors regarding the iSlate have suggested that the device may feature both CDMA and GSM connectivity and there has been a lot of ‘leaked specifications‘.

Personally I believe that Apple will unveil a tablet device this week, however I am not convinced that it will feature both CDMA and GSM connectivity. I just hope that Apple do not price the Tablet too high, as the event takes place we will keep you up-to-date.

According to a recent article posted on SlashGear it seems possible that the Apple Tablet may feature both CDMA and GSM connectivity, meaning that you may be able to choose data plans from both AT&T and Verizon.

SlashGear’s report states that “internal sources have confirmed that both a CDMA and a GSM model of the Apple Tablet will be launched”, at the moment I find this hard to believe, but I feel if it is true it will be very popular with consumers.

AT&T customers have famously been frustrated with the poor coverage that the carrier offers, therefore I would imagine that Verizon would be the carrier of choice, for more details check out SlashGear.

At the moment demand for laptops is higher than it has been in a long time, the closest demand we have seen to today’s figures occurred in January 2008.

There are a lot of reasons for the success of laptops at the moment, personally I feel that there is a great combination of long battery life, high-performance and a solid OS (Windows 7) which makes laptops extremely popular, therefore whereas people would purchase desktops for their performance in previous years, now you can get everything you want at a fair price with a laptop.

This high-demand for laptops may also result in there being high-demand for Apple’s iSlate/Tablet, however I feel pricing is key. Another survey looked at Apple Tablet pre-launch demand, when respondents were asked ” if they’ll buy an ‘iSlate’ if-and-when it becomes available”, 4 percent of people said they were ‘very likely’, whereas 14 percent said they were ‘somewhat likely’, to see all of the related surveys check out this link.

The invitations to the event give no hard evidence that the iSlate will be revealed, however they do read “”come see our latest creation”, it would be a surprise if this ‘latest creation’ wasn’t the iSlate.

Many believe that Apple may also announce their iPhone 4G or iPhone OS 4.0 at this event, however I feel Apple’s priority will be to announced their Apple iSlate as pressure is growing from the Microsoft Tablet.

Earlier in the month we revealed some possible leaked specifications for the Apple iSlate, I must say that if these specification turn out to be accurate the iSlate will be no slouch.

The leaked specifications suggest that it will feature an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive, this should give the device a solid backbone..

Mac OS X (10.6) Snow Leopard’s requirements are just an Intel processor, 1GB of RAM and 5 GB of free disk space, therefore if the iSlate features a cut-down version of Snow Leopard the hardware within does not need to be extremely high-end.

Windows-based tablets have been out for years, however these next-generation of devices should be a lot more well rounded to suit todays needs, they should feature multitouch displays which are vibrant and high-resolution, they will also be extremely intuitive and should feature a wide-range of connectivity options.

It is thought that Apple’s iSlate will be unveiled on January 26th at an Apple Event, however a recent article posted on InformationWeek suggests that Microsoft will be unveiling a slate-style computer at the Consumer Electronics Show this year.

If this story turns out to be true Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will show off the device in the coming days, it is thought that Microsoft have teamed-up with Hewlett-Packard to develop the device.

A recent article posted on IntoMobile features a full list of hardware specifications, these are not yet verified, however if they turn out to be accurate they are very impressive.

According to IntoMobile’s article the iSlate will feature a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 120GB hard drive, a built-in webcam, 802.11n WiFi, and a 7.1 inch multi-touch display. It will apparently run Mac OS X 10.7 Clouded Leopard.

One thing which makes me think this leaked spec isn’t genuine is that the iSlate according to this specification will feature a built-in projector, I find this very hard to believe.

Personally if this specification is accurate in terms of processor, RAM and hard drive the iSlate should be very impressive, as we hear information which confirms/refutes this specification we will keep you informed, for more information check out IntoMobile.

Although the Apple iSlate/Tablet now seems set for a January 26th 2010 unveiling, a recent article posted on TheRegister suggests a possible reason for a delay.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet it seems that the reason for the delay could well be due to the 10 inch display, it is thought that manufacturers were experiencing problems creating a strong display.

The company manufacturing the iSlate is said to be Foxconn, however when they began experiencing problems with the display G-Tech Optoelectronics were brought in.

It is thought that sometime in late January 2010 Apple will announce their Apple iSlate, which should set solid foundations for a very productive and profitable 2010.

The date looking likely for the product unveiling is January 26th 2010, reports suggest that Apple have booked a location in San Francisco for what many believe will be a media event.

All of these particular rumors surrounding the Apple iSlate have resulted in Apple shares reaching an all-time high, currently the company is worth $188 billion.

Full details regarding the iSlate are still unknown, however it is thought that it will operate in a very similar way to the iPod Touch, however will be a lot easier to use with a screen size of around 10 inches.
