Previously we have brought you some budget Android handsets, ones that are pretty good but don’t break the bank, now we bring you possibly the greatest Best Buy deal I have seen. Following on from the carnage of Black Friday Best Buy are slashing the price of the Apple iPhone 3GS.

The 8GB model is currently at $99.99 with a 2 year contract, well tomorrow that $99.99 will magically turn into a big fat $0, FREE! What is so good about the 3GS? Well let’s have a look at its specs and see if that sways you. Bear in mind that this is a good opportunity for first-timers to start using the Apple handsets. You can see the model of phone here, of course the deal hasn’t yet been applied as it will not go live until tomorrow.

Before

After

Of course it is 3G enabled and has an integrated 3 mega pixel camera, 3.5” multi-touch display with a resolution of 480 x 320, Bluetooth and WiFi. Apple has revolutionized the mobile phone market with the iPhone models and this is definitely a great device to get you started using them. Remember it also has all of the apps from the app store that can help you every day.

This is going to sounds a bit sad but I never used an iPhone till I got my iPhone 4, now I would be lost without it. My wife and all my friends are using iPhones of varying models and they are all good quality phones. Also at the bottom of the article we have included a video of the iPhone 3GS from the gadget show being reviewed.

Is this perhaps the deal for you? Have a look at the handset here and then check back tomorrow for the deal. Will you be picking this up tomorrow? Let us know in the comments below.

iOS 4.2 is now live, which you may have guessed by the range of subjects covered on this update. The main features were AirPlay, AirPrint and finally multitasking for the iPad. However, one thing that did go unnoticed was the new text tones, but iPhone 3G / 3GS users have been left disappointed.

The reason for this is because they do not have these extra tones, which Phones Review helped point out. I should have noticed this when I updated my dad’s iPhone 3G last night, but did not even think to check if these new message tones were missing.

The heads-up to this issue was found by TiPb, and they can already see that iPhone 3G and 3GS users are not happy with Apple. It seems that this is another kick in the teeth for those who do not have the most up-to-date iPhone.

However, there are those who would argue that the new text tones are rubbish, and I would have to agree. How many times do we need to say that cheaper and older phones have better message and ringtone alerts?

iPhone 3G and 3Gs owners, do you feel as if Apple has <s>screwed you over</s> let you down once again?

From the moment that iPhone 3G and 3GS owners updated to iOS 4 they experienced a number of problems. The two main issues were how slow things were, as well as locking up; we were told that iOS 4.1 would help solve this, but although things improved a little – they were not enough to keep owners happy.

Apple is now involved in a class action lawsuit, where they have been accused of crippling both the 3G and 3GS – now known as iBrick – intentionally with the iOS 4 update. The lawsuit claims that Apple did this to force them to upgrade to the new iPhone 4.

According to a report from The Mac Observer, one of the claims states that the previous iPhones are “little more use than that of a paper weight.” The lawsuit also claims that Apple knew this, but still did this in order to increase sales of their new fourth-generation iPhone.

What made the matter worse was the fact that 3G and 3GS owners are unable to restore to the older version of iPhone OS. This is a tough one for Apple, one that they need to handle carefully in order to keep their customers happy.

What do you think Apple should do?
