According to Chris Davies over at slashgear.com the issue has been addressed and will indeed be helped by the update. It’s called MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 2.0 for those of you that haven’t seen it yet. It’s only a 2MB download and requires a reboot upon completion.

For everyone who possesses the MacBook Air and are experiencing problems, if you haven’t seen it yet there is also an Apple discussion board where you can see if anyone else has the same problem as you. It is viewable here. WE have also included a video at the bottom of the article that shows just one user having a screen issue.
