We’ve seen both Valentine’s Day and St Patrick’s Day editions of the hugely popular Angry Birds game over the past couple of months, and now it appears that fans have yet another special holiday edition to look forward to with a recent announcement of an upcoming Easter update.

As Richard Meads over on the pocketgamer.co.uk website recently reported, the new Easter addition of Angry Birds Seasons – which is due to arrive on the Apple App Store sometime next week – will provide fans with 15 brand new levels, with another 3 levels available via Facebook.

The Easter update will of course bring a new Easter look to the Angry Birds game, including eggs and candy being scattered around the levels to collect and the pigs wearing adorable bunny ears. You can view screenshots of the upcoming Easter update via the pocketgamer.co.uk website.

In other Angry Birds related news, Rovio Mobile’s popular bird-slinging game picked up not one but two awards at Carphone Warehouse’s 2011 Appy Awards last night. Not only did Angry Birds pick up the award for Best Game, but according to theinquirer.net, it also took the award for App of the Year.

Are you looking forward to the Easter update of the Angry Birds Seasons game?

Ever since Angry Birds appeared in our world, we have been unwittingly addicted to its playstyle. But the thing is, we have come so engrossed in launching birds via a catapult that we have forgotten how silly the mechanics really are.

Alright, I know most of you are shouting at me in your minds “IT’S JUST A GAME!” But I just want to ask some questions, especially after watching a rather amusing video that highlights these errors. Sorry about the caps, but I still have mine on my keyboard, unlike Google CR -48 owners.

As an avid Angry Birds player, I can’t believe after playing the game for as long as I have, that I have never questioned why birds are using the catapult in the first place? Why have the pigs got the eggs, and why do they need them? Why don’t we just use the bomb everytime?

As you can tell, this is very, very serious. If you watch the video we have embedded below for you, you can see how serious this really is.

You know I’m joking, right? The video below pokes harmless fun at the games flaws, but what an addictive game it is! As it’s Christmas season, you should also check out Angry Birds Seasons too.

Previously called Angry Birds ‘Christmas’, the new version has now been renamed Angry Birds ‘Seasons’. It will consist of 25 new festive-themed levels for you to tackle, while it will also contain the Halloween Edition for those of you who missed it the first time around.

Angry Birds Seasons is free for Android users, but it will cost $0.99 from the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch users. However, if you previously bought the Halloween Edition from the App Store, you’ll get Seasons for free – as detailed in our previous report here.
