Appolicious says that this version of the popular game slows things down by treating the levels like an Advent calendar; this means users only get to play one level a day, and the levels are quite hard from the start. The review ends by saying if you liked the original you will like this version, and the app also includes all the levels from the Halloween version.

Rundlc have reviewed the iOS version and users who own the Halloween version can get Seasons as a free upgrade. They said that the new version is more of the same as before, but is a good thing as it’s both addictive and challenging, and you would be mad not to get it.

Previously called Angry Birds ‘Christmas’, the new version has now been renamed Angry Birds ‘Seasons’. It will consist of 25 new festive-themed levels for you to tackle, while it will also contain the Halloween Edition for those of you who missed it the first time around.

Angry Birds Seasons is free for Android users, but it will cost $0.99 from the App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch users. However, if you previously bought the Halloween Edition from the App Store, you’ll get Seasons for free – as detailed in our previous report here.

As reported from MobileBurn, developers Roxio have just confirmed that the Christmas Edition for iOS devices will be free for all those who previously paid for the Halloween version.

While it’s obviously great news for those who did buy that add-on, we haven’t heard anything regarding an Android release for the Christmas Edition. It is worth pointing out though that Angry Birds on Android did not get the Halloween spinoff.

What are your thoughts on this? We’ll update you when we know a price for the new version.
