The IdeaPad K1 is not the best looking tablet, but it’s not the worst either – although it is not always about the looks. The features on this new tablet will set it apart, and that Netflix app will do its part to insure that sales will be impressive. You may think that we are talking a load of rubbish, but the iPad does not have the best hardware – need we say more.

Engadget recently learned that the Netflix app would not support offline viewing, although you can still stream. However, no doubt that an update will resolve this little issue in the future?

The P1 will be released in the later part of this year, and will offer the same features as the K1 but with one difference, and that is its OS. Coming with Windows Phone 7 does seem a little stupid; they should have waited. OK, so we know that WP8 is some time off, so maybe Lenovo should have just waited? Having said that, this new device could surprise us and run very well on Microsoft’s mobile OS?

If the K1 and P1 passed you by, then we will give you a little refresh. The screen size will be 10.1-inches, which seems to be the ideal size for a tablet these days. There is also a 1.5GHz processor and up to 2GB or RAM, which should make those apps and videos run like a dream. There will be different storage options, with 64GB being the highest. Connectivity comes in the way of Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth.

What we like about this latest tablet is its strange color options; instead of boring black you either have silver-gray or a funky Clementine Orange. The latter might appeal to the female consumer, which is very important, as they often get forgotten about.

The price is expected to be $449 to $599 depending on which configuration you choose. A decent tablet with a cheaper price than the iPad has been a long time coming; others have failed but these two devices look to be more than up for the job.

As reported from BGR, the information has come from a report by TechRadar, who also states that Honeycomb may end up being the codename for Android 3.1 or 3.2, and not just a jump up straight to Android 4.0.

I’m not sure about you, but I’d rather get some solid details on Android 3.0 Gingerbread first, before we hear any rumors about Android 4.0. Google has been pretty reluctant to get the ball rolling on Android 3.0, maybe it is due to the fact that they are still having a hard time rolling out Froyo to carriers.
