Blake Fielder-civil Battered And Bruised In Jail

It has been reported that Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been attacked in London’s Pentonville Prison by his fellow inmates. It’s said that he was attacked because the inmates thought that he was hiding a personal stash of heroin.

A source has said that “He got ambushed by a few blokes who thought he had heroin on him. He’s been put in solitary three times already for failing drug tests so they figured it was a fair bet he’d be carrying some - although he wasn’t. Because Blake is such a high-profile inmate, he’s a natural target… There have been lots of threats and for a long time he just kept himself confined to his cell - he’ll be staying there a lot more now“.

Amy Winehouse Vowed to Quit Drugs After sudden death of friend Jason Rae

It has been reported that Amy has been shocked into seeking help after her saxophonist friend Jason Rae who was once a backing musician for Amy with his band The Haggis Horns was discovered dead from a suspected drugs overdose on Saturday.

A friend said that “Amy sacked Jason because he was so out of it and now it’s her own life that has spun out of control. The scenario is no different. Amy takes the same substances with which Jason plied himself. She says she can’t believe this happened and that she is still alive - and she can’t let this be her future. She sees it as a wake-up call that she must stop.”

Amy Winehouse is affecting Her Mothers Health

Apparently Amy Winehouse’s mother Janis is said to take a break from caring for her daughter as worries over the star’s recent drug problems have been affecting her health.

Janis was recently diagnosed with debilitating disease MS and admits that the stress of looking after the troubled singer has been making the condition worse.

Janis insists she can no longer keep up and reluctantly agreed to step away from Amy for the sake of her own health.

Janis said that “I physically can’t cope with all the running around Mitch does to try and keep her out of trouble. I had a relapse recently and I don’t’ want another one“.

Amy Winehouse to perform for George Clooney and Julia Roberts

It has been reported that Amy Winehouse has been offered the staggering £500,000 to perform at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on the 5th May which has been organised by institute co-chairs George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

A source said that “Amy was taken aback when she learned that George Clooney and Julia Roberts were after her. Their representatives have been phoning her offices and sending dozens of emails to convince her to take part. She’s seriously considering their generous offer. She hasn’t really taken it in - and keeps saying that her life is getting more surreal by the second.”

Singer Adele Reveals Her Female Supergroup Plans

Could there be a female super group in the making? Singer Adele has said that if she were to create a super group with Kate Nash, Katie Melua and Amy Winehouse, it would be the best in the world.

The singer, who shot to fame with her single Chasing Pavements, is keen to form a band with all the successful female artists that were educated at Croydon’s Brith School Institution.

Talking to WENN, Adele said the group would,

“represent most women in the world. If we were in a band I think it would be the best band ever. We’re not afraid to speak our minds, [and] you don’t need to be a doll with tanned legs, blonde hair, big boobs and good lips.”

Adele has also said she’d want Lily Allen to feature in the Supergroup.

Sir Paul McCartney wants Amy Winehouse to sing theme tune for James Bond film

It has been announce that Sir Paul McCartney wants Amy Winehouse to sing the theme tune for the new James Bond film, ‘Quantum of Solace’

Paul who sang the title track for hit 1973 Bond film ‘Live and Let Die’ thinks that Amy has the perfect voice for a theme song, and offered some advice to her.

Paul said that “I think Amy Winehouse would be really good, and I think she would do a really good job. My advice to her would be not to try and rhyme ‘Solace’ with anything - that’s too hard.”

Other singers who have recorded a 007 theme tune include, Dame Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Sir Tom Jones, Carly Simon and Lulu.

Amy Winehouse to play at the 2008 V Festival

It has been announced that Amy Winehouse is to perform at this summer’s V Festival, alongside the Kaiser Chiefs and previously announced headliners Muse.

Amy Winehouse had been due to perform last year but pulled out at the last minute citing health issues, and festival director Simon Moran said he would “gladly welcome her” back in 2008.

Amy Winehouse diagnosed with Impetigo: a very contagious skin condition

It has been reported that Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with Impetigo which is a very contagious skin condition which has apparently caused her face to swell.

A spokesperson for Amy released this statement:
“Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo which she’s been told can be highly contagious. Because of that she’s been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days.”

What is Impetigo?
Impetigo is usually a yellow, crusty rash on the outside of the skin. It appears around the nose and lips and mostly found in children. It seems like medical experts agree Amy’s “swelling condition” is not the result of impetigo. Most likely explanation is a direct blow, either accidental or deliberate. A skin complaint wouldn’t cause swelling.”

It has also been reported that her record label is placing her back in rehab today.

Her label knows how important she is after her album, ‘Back to Black,’ went to No. 1 yesterday on the UK album charts despite her personal mishaps.
