20 million American Idol viewers to see 2009 Ford Focus coupe

May 14, 2008 by Daniel

With American Idol getting around 20 million viewers on a Wednesday night show, it’s the perfect time for a company to show off a new product and this is just what Ford are doing for the first time on prime time television. The May 14 show of American Idol will also debut the 2009 Ford Focus coupe, updates to this new Focus coupe have been designed with help from customer feedback and they include standard 17-inch aluminum wheels on the SES series, a new roof-line spoiler, new front and rear fascias. On the performance side, the 2009 Ford Focus coupe four-speed automatic transmission will have a quicker acceleration thanks to a new final drive ratio and the 5-speed manual versions will get increased horsepower.

The new 2009-coupe model can only make the Focus 88 percent increase in retail sales over the last year improve. Having had a small car for the last two years, I can agree that small cars today are not like they were before, they make more use of the limited space and have a lot more horse power for their size. The Ford Focus is much of the same; it’s a little car that delivers in a big way for customers. The 35-mpg is nice on the pocket, a sportier coupe and the SYNC feature is one that makes you love Ford. If you watch FOX’s Wednesday broadcast of American Idol, you will see the 45-second music video that shows the remaining contestants and a new Focus coupe. Let us know what you think of the show and new ford.

 American Idol: Michael Johns Eliminated

Last night on American Idol Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado and Michael Johns were in the bottom three but it was Michael Johns who was Eliminated from the contest.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has often come up with some very shocking ways to reveal which contestants has been eliminated on American Idol but last night it seems that it could have been his most shocking one yet. Ryan said that “That means Michael has the lowest number of votes this week. Now, last year during Idol Gives Back, we didn’t eliminate anybody at this stage of the competition. Tonight, we’re going to say goodbye to Michael Johns.”

Do you agree with the way Michael was eliminated?

American Idol Star David Cook rushed to hospital
It has been reported that American Idol contestant David Cook was rushed to hospital Tuesday night after experiencing heart palpitations and high blood pressure.

According to TMZ David was not feeling well in the day and he got worse after his performance. The show medics found out that his blood pressure was way too high and drove him to hospital where he was then treated by a private doctor.

While David was at the hospital the doctor gave him medication to bring his blood pressure down and released him a few hours later but his condition is still not resolved.

David Cook sings Billy Jean
David Cook from American Idol might be a good singer but having listened to Michael Jackson a lot while growing up, hearing him try and sing Billy Jean was a nightmare. The song did not suit him at all, he tried to sing it in his own way but it failed for me. Although I must admit, most people feel that David Cook made the evening.

Watch the video below and let us know what you think of David Cook singing Billy Jean.

Last night on American Idol Kristy Lee Cook sang a country version of “Eight Days a Week” by The Beatles.

Kristy was given advice last week to go country but her performance was not as good as it should have been according to the judges.

Randy said it sounded like she forced too many runs, Paula didn’t enjoy it, didn’t get it and Simon thought it was horrendous and said that it was very brave but probably very foolish and it was like a “ghastly county fair.

But what did you think?
