We know that the concept will be coming to the US, but we are uncertain how long it will be after the release of the 4C GTA.

Nothing is known about the Spyder version, but one would assume that it would be very similar to the GTA version. This model – which does not have a roof – will be powered by a 1750 4-cylinder turbo-charged engine, which will produce 200 horsepower. That is enough to propel the car from standstill to 60mph in less than five seconds and reach a limited top speed of 155mph.

The Spyder version, which will be on show during the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year will be a little slower because of the inclusion of a roof, but we assume that Abarth will make a few tweaks to counter this problem – maybe a performance tweak to the engine?

Looking at the rendering on Eurocar Blog you can see that Alfa Romeo has not lost its flair for design – how can you not fall in love with those lines on the front and sides of the Spyder? Let us hope that Abarth stays faithful to the rendering, if they do then they could be on to a winner.

This car will come with the choice of two engine options, these are either a 1.4 16V petrol engine which produces 95bhp, alternatively there is a 1.3 JTDM-2 MultiJet turbodiesel engine which also produces 95bhp.

This special edition comes in either black, white or red, as standard you get 16 inch alloy wheels, cruise control and the popular Blue&Me infotainment system, usually these are popular options on the standard Mito, however this special editions includes them all of them at a great price.
