Sony Playstation style Jean Nouvel faucet taps, what next gamers?

Playstation faucet
Sony Playstation is popular but Sony Playstation style Jean Nouvel faucet taps what next? Is the way of home living turning towards the gaming lifestyle?

These PlayStation-themed faucets which you can clearly see the Sony PlayStation symbols on the top look pretty cool, but one thing you must have noticed is that the square button symbol is missing.

So we believe that it was not actually designed with Sony’s game controller in mind but hey good to think it was. These Jean Nouvel faucets will now give you water with digital in mind.

The O will turn the water on, the X turns the water off, and the triangle will sort the temperature out. We do not know what the price is but we are guessing a whole lot more than the PS3.

Sony HDR-SR12 HD camcorder is not cheap but still strong competitor

sony-hdr-sr12
The Sony HDR-SR12 HD 1080/60 camcorder has just been reviewed by CamcorderInfo and an in depth one at that which you can read via the source link below. We believe that this camcorder deserves a lot more loving.

Ok with a price tag of around $1399 it is not the cheapest option but yet still a very strong competitor to similar models, you know like that of the Canon HF10. Yes the bitrate is a bit lower than the Canon model at 16Mbps and the overall image quality was overall comparable due to the Bionz image processor and Exmos CMOS sensor.

There review is pretty good but comparing it to the Canon HF10 is not what many people would have done, because the HF is a pocket-size solid state recorder, while the SR is an HDD-based tank. The HDMI connector is a mini connector and not a standard sized one which means apparently a cable will have to be bought to get HDMI.

Sony_HDR-SR12_Front

It does have 120GB storage which is good plus the fixed 60i framerate seems a pretty good selling point also, ok if shooting the camcorder in 30p or 24p is not that important then the Sony HDR-SR12 HD camcorder is defiantly worth thinking about.

If you know more about the HDR-SR12, please do let us know?

Apple are always the first to patent something and they are on the ball with this one, their new plan is to develop a fully fledged digital fitness companion system based around their Apple iPhone and iPod Touch which is basically aimed at helping people live a healthier lifestyle.

The pictures we have here of the patent filing are just a couple from the many that AppleInsider have which you can see if you click the source link below. The patent filings are showing many ideas for the system and what it will be capable of including rewards tracker, component for group activities, iTunes-like software application, hardware-based heart rate and other sensors.

It is in simple terms a much more advanced version of the Nike + iPod system, this new system from Apple will actually “interview” the user within the application to find out exactly what their fitness goals are like fitness interests (such as jogging, yoga and swimming), desired activity level, desired workout schedule, weight goals etc.

patent-fitness-080327-1

The lifestyle companion system will also interview the user about non-health related topics like identity, spirituality, financial condition, relationships, career, religion, interests, hobbies, environment and many other things.

Once the interview is over and the process is completed the lifestyle companion systems software will create a workout regiment based around their feedback on goals and fitness interests, this will be fantastic because it will be different for each individual.

Xbox 360 say no to Blu-Ray drive: Microsoft to focus on digital downloads
Since HD DVD gave up the fight after losing so badly to Blu-ray, it cam as no surprise that we thought that Microsoft would want to use the Blu-ray player for their Xbox 360. Many rumors circulated that Microsoft was in talks with Sony to introduce the Blu-ray player add-on, however Microsoft has since strongly denied that they are in talks with Sony.

Aaron Greenberg is the product manager for Xbox 360, and he has said that “Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience.” Sony said that they are glad to welcome Microsoft, however it seems that Microsoft are not so crazy on the idea.

Microsoft are not interested in a Blu-ray player at all, instead they are looking to focus on digital downloads. They feel that the future is in High-Def movie rentals using Xbox Live.

Canon Expands Elph Series: Digital PowerShot SD770, SD790 and SD890 IS

Canon Expands Elph Series: Digital PowerShot SD770, SD790 and SD890 IS
Today comes an announcement from Canon that they are to expand the range of their Elph Series Digital Powershot cameras. There are to be three new models, the SD770 IS, SD790 IS and the SD890 IS. All three cameras features 10 megapixels, improved face detection and also and new intelligent anti blur system.

With these three new models comes some casualties, some older models will be discontinued in order to make room for the new range. Gone is the SD850 IS, and in its place is the SD890 IS, which has 5X optical zoom and a 37–185mm equivalent lens and although it has more features, it is actually lighter.

The SD790 IS takes the place of the SD750; this new model has 3X optical zoom and comes with a 3 inch LCD screen. This model out of the three has had the most changes in its design.

The cheapest of the three is the SD770 IS, this will replace the SD1000. However Canon have decided to give this a more curved design, the wanted to stick with the box design as it seems more popular with the users.
