Yamaha join blu-ray circuit with it’s BD-S2900 player

Yamaha, not to be left behind on the Blu-ray circuit in Europe have announced their BD-S2900 Blu-ray player.

Unfortunately it does not have BD-Live connectivity, so future feature upgrades from the internet will not be something this BD-S2900 can take advantage of, it does offer though: 1080p, 24fps, 12-bit Deep Color and HD Audio Bitstream output plus it this playing is Bonus View enabled.

The BD-S2900 is probably aimed at Yamaha’s existing cinema customers, due to the fact that the machine is reported to match the Yamaha’s existing receivers, so it’s likely you will not have to go out and buy a receiver just upgrade your existing player.

This Blu-Ray player also has 16-step motion video detection, precise pixel detection and the ability upscale SD content via Chroma Upsampling.

You can pick this Blu-Ray player up in a gorgeous titanium or black finish, and they come with one HDMI output and an SD card slot. In the United States you can pick up the BD-S2900 for $1,200, unfortunately we have no UK pricing for you yet, we will post this information as and when we receive it.

Blu-ray players Leaked Including Yamaha BD-S2900

Now we all love a good Blu-ray player, well in fact I prefer just to stick with a PS3 gaming console as it has a Blu-ray player and of course a hell of a lot cheaper. Anyway Yamaha are gearing up to unveil at least 3 new AV receivers on the world alongside a very high break the bank price Blu-ray player.

First up is the 7.1-channel RX-V1900 which apparently has USB, HDMI sockets, digital audio ports and a not known amount of power, this will be selling for around $1,399.95. Next up is the RX-V3900 for $1,899.95 and the RX-Z7 priced at around $2,699.95.

Test ride with the 2008 Ducati Monster 696

April 9, 2008

Ducati are putting a lot of faith in their Monster 696 and hope that it will help increase sales. The Ducati Monster 696 will have to perform well in this ever competitive market, let us hope that this bike is in fact a monster on the roads.

The guys over at Motorcycle USA have decided to take the 2008 Ducati Monster 696 for a test ride. The Monster without a doubt is a pure thoroughbred Monster, but it has a long way to go if it wants to compete with the likes of a Yamaha MT01 or Aprilia Shiver.

For a full in-depth review of the 2008 Ducati Monster 696, check out Motorcycle USA

Finally a Ferrari motorcycle: well a 1:12 scale model anyway, damn
There is no shortage of Italian built motorcycles, however there is just one Auto Company that we wish would produce a motorbike and that is Ferrari. Could you imagine if you had a superbike with a prancing horse on the front.

finally-a-ferrari-motorcycle-well-a-112-scale-model-anyway-damn.jpg

Well it seems like you can now get your hands on a Ferrari bike, ok a 1:12 scale model, damn those images they did fool me for a second. If Ferrari was to produce a superbike, it would look a little like this model. The original model was a Yamaha kit from Tamiya; however it has had a few modifications.

Let us hope that the guys at Maranello are looking and decide it is time to produce vehicles with two-wheels as well as their road cars.
