Wombles protest against imported children’s TV shows

It has been reported that The Wombles of Wimbledon Common have decided to move to New York and get themselves American accents because they are protesting against imported children’s TV shows.
The Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television have made the film to highlight what they say is a threat to British programmes. Bernard Cribbins who was the voice of the original Wombles supports this campaign. Bernard said that “Tell those Wombles in government we need to start making British programmes for British kids again before it’s too late.”
