EBay Selling Skype
According to a recent report on ComputerWorld it seems that eBay will soon announce a deal which will sell its Skype VoIP service to a group of private investors, when eBay originally acquired Skype they paid $2.6 billion, however this latest deal is said to only be worth $2 billion, the official announcement of this deal is expected today, however nothing is guaranteed. Fring 3.40 now supports Samsung S60 phones

Agito brings VoIP over Wi-Fi on BlackBerry smartphones

Agito Networks Inc has announced plans to try and allow businesses to bring VoiP over WiFi to their Blackberry smartphones. Agito Networks Inc have excelled in allowing these technologies to become available on Symbian and Windows Mobile devices and believe by adding support for BlackBerry smartphones it will allow users to save a huge amount on international calling.
The company is said to be planning to support the BlackBerry Bold, the Curve 8900, the Curve 880 and the Curve 8300, and hopes to in the future support the BlackBerry Storm. The costs are yet to be announced but are said to depend on the deployment factors.

Verizon iPhone: How to build one?

There are so many of you out there who would love to have an Apple iPhone, but the AT&T network is the thing that is keeping them away. However, GigaOM has written an article about how to build a Verizon iPhone.
Right this is how it goes, take an iPod Touch and combine it with the upcoming Verizon MiFi modem, then get yourself a microphone and add a VoIP client and there you have yourself a Verizon iPhone that Dr. Frankenstein would be proud of.
Ok so we know that this is not this best way to have an iPhone running on the preferred network, as you have to carry two devices with you and the fact that you will not be able to surf the web while waiting for calls.
